Jeezus H Christ. Clinton did it too.
THat's the spin that I heard lately. Clinton said the same thing in his 1998 speech, once again hiding behind Clinton's coat tails, pathetic.

Here's what's wrong with this accusation.

It was five years ago when he made that comment and at the time the Niger papers were hot off the forgery presses. Bush touted this five year old and by now bogus intelligence as fact, and they knew that it wasn't fact.

That's the difference. Bush lied and deceived Americans into an unjust and costly war on all fronts, leaving us more vulnerable to terrorist strikes.

Clinton did not deceive us into a war, where our children and their children have and are dying.

Going to work now.

2. Remember in 2000...
when Bush said he would return integrity to the office. Seems odd that if he actually believed this that he would say the he is the same as Clinton.

Yet another campaign promise broken.

3. Clinton also got hummers
does that mean AWOL should get one too?

Come to think of it...might not be a bad idea....

During that period we had prosperity, jobs, a budget surplus and a growing economy....maybe AWOL should try finding an intern of his own

4. in addition ... while these caca eating pukes were whining, 'wag the dog'
Bill Clinton HAMERED Saddam in a massive strike that was directed specifically at the targets indentified in the intelligence. It is instructive to note that these gops will ALWAYS fall back on deceit and ALWAYS fail to come to grips with the facts. They spin so fast, they can no longer tell what is real.

I read this one today, from an "Independent/Libertarian" from Sugarland, TX. ;-)

"Clinton lied and in turn, gave corporations an education in lying. Permission to lie. Clinto lied UNDER OATH!! Nixon lied but he was not under oath! Besides, provide PROOF that Bush lied!"

Man, they are some desperate people...

8. ah, but at the time, they said this:
In his statement of September 16, 1998, Wolfowitz ridiculed Clinton’s policies toward Iraq and said, “Administration officials continue to claim, as Assistant Secretary Martin Indyk did in testimony to the Senate last week, that the only alternative to maintaining the unity of the UN Security Council is to send U.S. forces to Baghdad. This is wrong.”

Wolfowitz then articulated how, with patience and diplomacy, a critical mass could be reached by supporting dissidents in their eventual overthrow of the Ba’athist regime. “he key lies not in marching U.S. soldiers to Baghdad, but in helping the Iraqi people to liberate themselves from Saddam,” he said.

He detailed the patient commitment that such a policy would require however, such an action would deliver much stronger international support than American militarism. He said, “Our friends in the Gulf, who fear Saddam but who also fear ineffective American action against him, would see that this is a very different American policy, one that can rid them of the danger that Saddam poses. And Saddam's supporters in the Security Council–in particular France and Russia–would suddenly see a different prospect before them. Instead of lucrative oil production contracts with the Saddam Hussein regime, they would now have to calculate the economic and commercial opportunities that would come from ingratiating themselves with the future government of Iraq.”

Invading Iraq under Clinton=Bad.
Invading Iraq under the Simian=Good.

Why would they change their minds do you think? (*hint* o-i-l)

Feel free to pass this article around to reich-wingers.

9. I'm so sick of this.
2-1/2 years into his legal Presidency, did Clinton blame everything on Bush41?? Good grief. I'm beginning to think that President William Jefferson Clinton was the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party -- they don't have to take responsibility for anything.
