4. I agree
Funny you posted that. I have sometimes wondered if there were others like me. I used to watch them religiously. These days, I can't sit through one of them without just going crazy. No straight answers to questions by guests of either party. So, rather than allow it to ruin my Sunday, I blow it off and read the recaps here at DU!

I did used to watch them but can no longer tolerate the sickening feeling I get - they're just blatant, they don't even try to disguise the propaganda.

I do read the recap in Pundit Pap in www.americanpolitics.com

actually, today's recap is ready:

2. Is it me, or was Russert slightly less whore-ish today?
At least with Sens. Lugar and Biden.

3. ABC: Pope retrospective and Kerry
First Kerry saying all the usual things, now 25 years of John Paul.

5. I'll kick
don't know if there are any other threads going on this.

I ended up looking at a few moments of John Kerry...
he looks better by remote.

6. John Kerry looks better by remote
Is that a comment on Kerry's inability to speak or your inability to listen?

7. My husband made a similar comment
and he supports Kerry. He said he looked much better than he did on debate night. I think his appeal was also due to the fact that he could be conversational. He blew Will's weak questions out of the water.

I won't speak for the previous poster here in DU. But I think we got more to lsiten to this morning. And Kerry seemed more relaxed in that format. Frankly, I want to see all the candidates in a more relaxed venue. The presidency isn't some daily rapid fire segment on Crossfire. Even Matthews haivng all the candidates at rhe colleges was an unproductive format geared to Tweety's ego rather than informaing the public. I get much more from debates conducted at a round table where candidates can lean forward, braid their fingers and speak at length in quieter tones.

Hopefully, the next debate will cover one topic like foreign policy or the economy. I want a full course meal not these appetizers.
