The Name DICK CHENEY Finally Being Mentioned In Leak Investigation

Today's Washington Post finally sets the stage for Cheney to be publicly dragged into the White House leak scandal:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A13696-2003Oct11.html

We need to realize that EVERYTHING Bush, Novak, and McClellan are SAYING is absolutely true. But everything they're TELLING US is a lie. We have to remember to listen carefully to the exact words.

Novak originally said that the information about Wilson's wife came from, "two senior administration officials." THIS IS TRUE.

Novak also says that, "Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this." THIS IS ALSO TRUE.

There is ONE MAN in the world who is BOTH a senior administration official, and does not release information from the administration (from the White House).

There is ONE MAN in the world who is BOTH a senior administration official, and is not technically a member of the administration.

There is ONE MAN in the world who invested his reputation and resources to the Niger yellowcake story, more than any other.

There was ONE MAN in the world who knew of Wilson's trip to Niger as well as he knew about the identity of Wilson's wife.

There was ONE MAN who Novak would have contacted before any other.

THE MAN'S NAME IS **DICK CHENEY**.

The yellowcake story was Cheney's baby.

Joseph Wilson killed Dick Cheney's baby.

Remember, in his July 6 article, "What I Didn't Find In Africa," Joe Wilson indicated that,

"In February 2002, I was informed by officials at the Central Intelligence Agency that Vice President Dick Cheney's office had questions about a particular intelligence report." "...The agency officials asked if I would travel to Niger to check out the story so they could provide a response to the vice president's office."

So in writing a piece in response to Wilson's article, the first call Novak made was OBVIOUSLY to Cheney's office. Novak openly admits to the call he made to the CIA, but he does not say ANYTHING about the call to Cheney. Think about it…Who would you call if you read the article referenced above and wanted to write about it?

So, when Scott McClellan talks about how "ridiculous" it is that the leak could have come out of Karl Rove, it's because he knows this statement to be true. Rove IS NOT the one who ORIGINALLY released this information. There is no way this could have been the case because there's really no scenario that would explain how Rove could legitimately be in possession of this information. But Rove is a part of the conspiracy, all the same.

The plan was for Cheney & Novak to make the info about Wilson's wife "common knowledge around Washington." That was the first wave of the attack. The second wave was initiated when Cheney told Rove that he (Cheney or his office) had put Wilson's wife's identity in print, and that she, and her identity, were now, "FAIR GAME." Rove, or people working with Rove, then made the FAIR GAME phone calls to the media, knowing that Cheney & Novak had laid the groundwork to cover their asses (legally) by making the secret information, "common knowledge around Washington."

The White House is trying to convince us that the Novak disclosure and the "FAIR GAME" phone calls were taking place as one continuous event, but they were not. The Novak crimes (disclosures) were designed to set up the FAIR GAME phone calls from Rove. This was a two-point plan. Novak is working with the White House on this. He is knowingly trying to mislead any would-be investigations and may eventually go down for this obvious obstruction (at least).

Scott McClellan completed the second wave on October first (10/01/03). When asked to make a distinction between disclosing the identity of a covert CIA operative and discussing it after it is published, McClellan said, "That is such a broad question, about is it okay to discuss news articles," he said. "I mean, news articles are discussed all the time."

So, is there one top-level White House official whose email, phone records, etc. ARE NOT being protected by orders of the Justice Department? Is there one top-level White House official who does not work in the White House and whose staff is not under evidence protection orders or legal scrutiny? Is Cheney watching and laughing?

By all accounts, Dick Cheney's staff in the Old Executive Office Building, or at Number One Observatory Circle, have not been asked to supply or preserve documents related to the Wilson scandal.

When they (McClellan & co.) say, "White House," they're actually saying, "THE PLACE WHERE CHENEY IS NOT." Notice how often they use the terminology "White House." And when Novak uses the word "identity," in talking about Valerie Plame, he's not talking about her job at the CIA, he's talking about her "identity" as Wilson's wife. It's a word game. The words are true; the message is a lie.

LISTEN TO THE WORDS THEY USE.

This post will continue to be developed and reposted.

4. I've thought this all
along. Scooter Libby and Novack seem to be big buds. Scooter Libby was on Hardball talking about Wilson, "drinking tea" in Niger shortly after this report came out. It was about a week after the initial report came out in July. Nobody sat up and took note. It was brushed under the carpet.

This thing stinks to high heavens. There is so much that has yet to be uncovered.

21. Dick Cheney & Staff Investigation??? (Info Needed)
This is the question I have not been able to answer. (Are Dick Cheney's offices and staff under any evidence orders or requests?)

The thing to remember about Cheney is that he DOES NOT work for Bush. The vice president is elected by The People and can't be hired, fired, or otherwise administered by the president…PERIOD. That's not to say that he can't decide to do work for Bush by his own choosing.

Believe it or not, the vice president is not even a member of the executive branch of government. The vice president is a member of the legislature (president of the Senate).

Outside of being the president of the Senate, Cheney's only constitutional duty is to replace Bush when necessary.

So when the media talks about "THE WHITE HOUSE STAFF" securing documents, etc., can we make any assumptions about what's going on over at Cheney's house and in his Old Executive Office Building offices? Does the "WHITE HOUSE STAFF" work in those buildings too?

Help requested on this.

Bye Dick

13. I wish I could
I spent two hours looking for it just the other day. I believe I was reading one Blog and it lead me to another Blog that had this exact same post. I'm about to leave so can't look for it now but I'll see if I can find it later this evening. I wanted to post it here after originally reading it, and give credit to the original writer. ByeDick should realize we're a very well read group.

It's an interesting theory and makes perfect sense so I'm glad ByeDick found it. But please, give people credit, where credit is due.

11. Could it be that Cheney
Screwed up royally by disclosing to Novak the information about Plame, without the knowledge of Rove?

Then, as the story heated up, Rove and Cheney were forced to put their heads together and begin the cover-up. That's about when the fair game comments began, eh?.

The premise of your post is spot on. While issuing individual bits of true statements, the WH is attempting to cover-up the foundation of the story.

This same DU comment was posted as a "comment" on the J-Bradford-Delong.Net blog back on Oct 2:

Couple of possibilities here:

(1) ByeDick is the same person as Billy, and he's cross-posting.

(2) ByeDick is quoting Billy without attribution (shame on you ByeDick).

(3) Both ByeDick and Billy are quoting someone ELSE without attribution (shame on you both!)

I find it highly suspicious how this "leak" is being played out so publically and I dont buy it.
Cheny is under the microscope now and look how defensive he is; he's defiantly still using the original script and everyone else has moved on. The Iraq experiment has blown up in his face. I look for him to resign for "health reasons" or face presidential rebuke that will keep him off the ticket next year. The "leak" is somebody's dirty trick. Mrs. Wilson probably gave up her cloak and dagger when she became the high-profile wife of an ammbassador.

send this to Josh Marshall at TalkingPointsMemo. He's been following this very well, and also providing insight into why Scott McClellan parses his words so carefully when anyone asks him if Plame was "given up."

Worth reading all the posts by him on his blog about this.

I hope you're right because I said, from the beginning, that I thought it was Cheney. He has the most personal motivation to go after Wilson and Plame.

Put the traitor's ass in prison. And throw Bush in there with him for aiding and abetting.

While I do not know much about his wife, from what other evil DUers mention about her, she sounds nasty and mean spirited too. And didn't someone mention something about her sitting in on a briefing or something. Seems there was a post about that and asking how that was any different from Hillary sitting in on meetings then the freepers basher her for it.

Cheney was on the CIA like a parasite trying to get them to provide the 'correct' info on what a dangerous, bad, evil man Saddam was and how he was such a threat to truth, justice and the American way. Once again, Chicken Dick's projection tnedencies were the real boogey man.

Tis OK. Let Chicken Dick yuck it up from the bunker. The CIA is probably not laughing and the civil war continues.
