is that so many things I thought could never happen in this country have happened.
I live in California. Who would have thought that a man who met with Enron executives just before the energy crisis, a man who has been accused by multiple women of what amounts to sexual battery, a man who agreed to participate in only one debate--and that one with questions he received beforehand--would be governor.
Now Hatch is trying to get Congress to pass a bill that would allow naturalized citizens to become president. If I think that Hatch and other Republicans want Arnold to go from governor to president the way Reagan did, am I being paranoid?
Will the media program people to accept Arnold as president? Well, Arnold, whose father was a Nazi, announced his candidacy for governor on a program hosted by a guy who is Jewish (Leno). He and his wife appealed for the women's vote on a program hosted by an African-American who is a victim of sexual abuse (Oprah).
Finally, the tabloids that you see when you check out at the grocery store have had hideous photos and negative headlines about Streisand, Chelsea, and Bill. The only story they ran about Arnold was the one with the alien endorsing Arnold. The Republicans think of every thing. I think that I read that friends of Arnold bought up these rags a couple of years ago.
I don't think I am paranoid when I say that the Republicans have mapped out a master plan to make sure that their message gets out and their candidates win.
