Oh geez! The Liar in Chief thinks Fox News is liberal and against him?
WASHINGTON - President Bush, annoyed by what he considers the "filter" of news reporting, will seek to go around the press on Monday through television outlets that do not routinely cover the White House.

Bush was giving a series of interviews to make the case that the situation in Iraq is getting better.

The appearances are part of a week-old administration initiative against critics of the war and its aftermath. It's included speeches by Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and even first lady Laura Bush.

The offensive comes as polls show Americans increasingly worried by Iraq policy.

1. 'television outlets that do not routinely cover the White House'?
Let's see, there's The Hog Report, Ricki Lake, The Wiggles...

You know, he could save a lot of time if he just did one "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

3. this is a cynical thought

I assume that Chimpy will be performing on local news broadcasts. I KNOW that he will choose the most efficient means of choosing those broadcasts, and that they will not be based on election demographics.

Right?

4. Well last time FOX did a prime time interview with the Shrub
the asked him really tough questions like; "where do you get your news?" which total stumped our "well informed" leader. Of course, no one watched anyway.

6. The media blitz isn't going so well
The "Everything is great in Iraq" campaign was thrown off by the librul media reporting on an ambush, a hotel bombing, a land-mine death, and a mortar attack.

What could those interviews in television outlets that do not routinely cover the White House possibly be? 700 Club?

7. Of course our $100 B has the situation in Iraq getting better - but a few
problems seem to remain.

Like Dead US kids, Dead Iraqi kids, no security and no jobs.

But the 100 habitat for humanity homes contructed, the new indoor prisons, getting electricity to 1/2 the 91 Iraqi production level, replacing 500,000 police with a bit less than 100,000 police (plus 300 new folks in the new Iraq military) really is getting a bang for our tax dollar.

16. Bush is the patron Saint of corrupt CEO's and warmongers.
Didn't you know?

There were also miracles associated with him, such as when he waved his pen and turned the surplus into a deficit (much like Jesus turning water into wine).

20. Dubya Christ turns water into urine
First he turns the water into wine. And he looks into the sky and says it is good.

Then he looks at the wine and says it looks good.

Then he drinks all of the wine.

Dubya Christ''s body processes the wine into urine.

And then Dubya Christ gets on a cloud, takes out his sacred penis, and pisses all over the American people.

12. This shows us Bush's 'solution' to the Iraq 'problem'
But first, we have to understand that what Bush considers the 'Iraq Problem' is NOT that he's pulled us into a tarpit, or that he's destabilized a volitile region, or that US troops are dying by the day.

No, what Bush considers the 'problem' is that his APPROVAL RATINGS are dropping. THAT is 'the problem' in his mind.

So, he focuses on that 'problem' like a laser beam, and comes up with a solution: Go on a 'press offensive' to try and lie your way back to being liked by people again.

In summary: All Bush cares about is how his ratings are, so all he's going to do is focus on getting his ratings back up.

No change on the ground in Iraq, no epiphanies in the Oval Office, no move toward multilateralism to get international help. Just a bunch of lying White House propaganda.

Mission Accomplished? What was the mission?

13. YES! The Bushies are scared!

I wondered why none of the usual suspects were on the Sunday morning pundit shows yesterday. Condi and Colin and sometimes even Dick are nearly always on with Tim and George and Wolf when the White House wants to spread some new b.s.

So far, besides the obviouly phony "letter from a soldier" that got sent to U.S. newspapers, the "PR blitz" to promote Iraq has consisted of Dick speaking to the Heritage Foundation, Dubya speaking to some soldiers who were no doubt under orders to be politce, and Condi talking to the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. This is a PR blitz?

The only explanation is a failure of nerve on the part of the White House. They can't afford to be interviewed by "journlists" who *might* ask a tough question (unlikely, I know, but not impossible). So now they're thrashing around looking for new ways to saturate our heads with propaganda. But if phony letters and speeches to the Heritage Foundation is the best they can do ...

Cracks in their defenses, indeed.

14. Too early to tell but there may be a slight tilt in FOX News
Maybe they're afraid of being left on the wrong side when the iceberg cracks but I've noticed a slight fuzziness in FOX's hard line lately. One reporter was openly asking whether the president was in denial over Iraq. Another sounded almost enthusiatic about Clark's -- "the General", he called him -- new patriotism and public service program. The worst fascists these days seem to be on MSNBC.

23. "Slimy Shrub" doesn't want the media
to report the dead military nor the wounded. He only wants them to report that so many hundred schools and so many hundred hospitals are open. Okay, you've told us - now what? Also, has anyone seen these schools or hospitals - I don't think so and it isn't as if the media even has access to travel all over the country to see this for themselves - just take "Slimy Shrubs" word for it. Why doesn't he want us to know about our military dead and wounded. We know our military does a good job at whatever they are ordered to do-there's not much questions of that. So what is the little * problem?
