We all owe the native peoples a huge debt of gratitude for their contibution of all their fucking land to our country.

Maybe some day there will be sufficient outrage at the handling and malfeasance of Native American Trust funds.

Or maybe we will give the Lakota people back the land that we promised them in the treaty they signed with us. Hey, who knew it had gold and oil in it?

Maybe we will honor just ONE of the some 1,520 treaties we have signed with the Native Americans. So far our record is perfect: we have broken every single one.

Or "The Day of the Race"--the day to commemorate the origin of the Mestizo. It's not a celebration of Columbus. (Cortez is certainly NOT revered in Mexico.)

And, yes, population movement will "continue reclaiming the continent". Some of the European settlers were more efficient in wiping out the natives but the imbalance is being redressed.

11. The One True Fry Bread Recipe

1 C flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 C powdered milk
1/4 t salt
warm water

Mix it all up, add the water, a bit at a time. Throw some flour on a board, table, whatever. Knead till it's not sticky any more, all smooth. Cover it up and leave it alone for an hour. Then make little balls and pat them down - just like you were making thick flour tortillas. They should be about a third of an inch thick.

Heat up your oil, corn, veggie, peanut, whatever. Throw em in, fry till brown, flip over, brown other side, take out, put it on paper towels to drain, lift fry bread to mouth level, open mouth, insert fry bread, use teeth to bite.
