Operation Iraq 'Freedom' photos (aka blow the Iraqi kids to bits)

yes Bush's Operation Freedom made this little girl 'free'.

free of her own feet, free of breathing any more,
free of ever playing again

----------------

Pictures of Destruction and Civilian Victims of the Anglo-American Aggression in Iraq (From March, 2003 onwards).

Please note that some of these pictures are not suitable for small children and those who have weak hearts. These photos are only of a very tiny fraction of the thousands of Iraqi Civilian Victims who have been terrorised, humiliated, injured, maimed and killed through British and American Bombing of civilian areas in various cities of Iraq. Due to insecurity, Independent Reporters could not and still can not reach many areas to photograph and report the atrocities. Even after the bombing had stopped, thousands of civilians continue to suffer and die due to their severe injuries. We kindly request Independent News Reporters to send us photos of the Anglo-American atrocities in Iraq for inclusion on these pages.

1. I have repeated this statement several times because it shocked
me when the Republican congressmen used it (I heard it a least twice in C-Span): republican congressmen think Iraq is just our "cockroach motel" attracting terrorists so we can protect the US from terror attacks. Therefore, Iraqis are not people, just bait.

4. Did the little girl get a warning that her injuries would be very graphic?

If it displeases you to see it, do you think it is any more pleasant for those who have to live it?

You can turn the computer off, click a different thread, a different site, ignore the poster.

Thousands of Iraqi children do not have the option of clicking away their missing limbs, or their dead parents.

8. It doesn't displease me to see it.
I've forced myself to look at all of the pictures that I can from this war. I figure that I'm getting off pretty easy-- the Iraqis have had to live through this hell.

The picture that is there when you open this thread is very graphic and sometimes my children are in the room when I open a thread. A little warning would have been nice.

You get no argument from me on your main points.

10. I understand your concern about your children

I do not intend to argue that children should or should not be protected from reality.

But to err on the side of candor over sensitivity, I am more concerned about what is happening to children in Iraq, in Palestine, in Afghanistan, happening to children in more places, including the US.

And I am sad to say that I am more worried about what the bush regime will decide to do next right here in the US than I am worried about children seeing pictures of it being done elsewhere.

5. Can you tell me
how reliable is this source? I want to send the site to some people, but also want to be prepared for the inevitable accusations that the photos could be from anywhere, blah blah blah. For some peculiar reason "seach" is not working in my browser, so I can't research it myself till I sort out that glitch.

6. that photo is from BBC
Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 02:33 PM by protect freedom impe
that photo was posted here at DU during the
first month of the Bush Family's 2nd Iraq oil field siezure days.

Go ask the BBC.

Go ask the little girl'd father or mother,
IF they are still alive.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2884769.stm

NOTICE that BBC, as many other news agencies cropped out
that the girl had her little feet blown away

<sarcasm> Cant have the American or British public seeing
what US & UK bombs are doing to little Iraqi children's feet
Now can we ?

13. Why is your tone
seeming to imply that I need to be educated about the horrors in Iraq? I have seen these and other photos, have forced myself to look at them because even though I opposed the war I believe that every American bears a responsibility for this horror. Somehow, we let these evil men come to power, and I believe my generation bears the greatest burden of responsibility. I simply am having problems with my browser, and could not look up the references myself.

12. How reliable is Robert Fisk?
Let's put it this way--when other reporters were mouthing Pentagon lines to the public Robert Fisk was in Iraq getting shot at telling it like it is. One of the very few who was.
