For whom? You mean we are not going to have any more "shock and awe"? For us, perhaps we have stopped major combat operations? But that doesn't man that the Iraqis have stopped their combat operations. In fact, combat operations have never stopped. The mission has never been accomplished. The war continues. It has only gone into a different mode. Americans continue to die at an increased pace. Put as many smiley faces as you want on it. The truth is that combat operations continue as long as Americans are dying. We can paint the walls of the schools but that doesn't mean that things are getting better.

Just because George W Bush said "major combat operations are over" does not make it so. It is just another lie by this Pretender-in-Chief. He wanted the war to be over so he could fly onto the aircraft carrier with the huge MISSION ACCOMPLISHED sign on the deck. But, it was simply another illusion by this PNAC peanut. The war continues.
