Wolf Blitzer earns Media Whore du jour title

This doesn't suprise me in the least.

Yesterday Bush complained that the media was not giving a fair accounting of the situation in Iraq, referring derrogatorily to them as "the filter". I wondered how long it would take for the real media whores to pick up the banner and hoist it high. In Wolfie's case, not long.

Just a few minutes ago he began a real Bush-B.J. by first parading the newly obtained poll numbers showing a REMARKABLE boost in the pResident's approval rating. Having flashed that before the gazing sheeple, he went on to an interview with Don Evans, Bushco's recent PR and propaganda minister to Iraq.

The interview Blitzer had with this man was nothing short of revolting. Everything in Iraq is just rosy and peachy keen. To hear this guy talk, it was the original Eden paradise where milk and honey flow. When asked by Wolf if he were "scared", he went into this unbelievable story about the wonderful entrepreneurship he is seeing in Iraq (stressed entrepreneurship several times). He told such a heartwarming story about a couple of youthful boys who had erected a Coca Cola stand on a corner. He was so "unafraid" he stopped and bought Cokes for everybody in the neighborhood, including the boys.

This kind of drivel and slobbering went on ad. nauseum. This had to be one of the most transparent and disgusting shows of fauning jingoism I have ever seen... and facilited by THE #1 MEDIA WHORE of the day WOLF BLITZER.

The Hoes let bu$h whack them twice in public about the "March To War" hurting the economic recovery.

They took it lying down (all puns fully intended) when he jibed them the other day about protecting their sources.

Now they hustle to show how they're not a filter--after having been a pro-bu$h filter roughly the size of the Grand Canyon since at least 2000.

8. By contrast, Tom Friedman was on C-Span BookTV...

this past Sunday. He's been to Iraq a lot in the past year. He asserted that we went to war "with the Flintstones" and bombed Bedrock. We took the infrastructure back many years from where it was before the war. He was speaking to an audience that was packed cheek by jowl in a church. Joe Conason, who was also covered by C-Span this weekend, said that his book tour groups are getting larger and larger.

So, the whole pack of spinning cheerleaders are asking for trouble. This is the information age and Bushco isn't the only means by which we learn about what's happening in the world. As they push their disinformation in America, other news agencies and independent journalists are sharing their experiences. They can't keep information from us.
