If you did a poll in just about any Walmart parking lot, you'd be surprised at the % of people who favor internment for known Muslims and people with a "Middle Eastern appearance."

And you'd get even bigger numbers in favor of formalizing the suspension of civil liberties, etc.

They have already been suspended in actual practice, as the families and friends of the Disappeared, citizen and non-citizen alike can attest.

I see the hatred increasing. Americans, it would see, really like a scapegoat and right now a "Middle Eastern appearance" is the bullseye. I despair for the American I thought I knew.

Put on eastern dress and go to your local mall.

I am blonde and white as a sheet of paper. I'm curious, what is the reaction? I try to sneak some peeks at them because very often their dress patterns/fabric are so gorgeous. :D
