I didn't trust Bush one bit while he was campaigning. Not once. What made me not trust him? It was all the money that was literally pouring into his campaign from the Pharmacetical companies, Energy companies, and everyone else. I knew it on the spot.

Did I cry on Election night 2000? No. But I felt this deep sense of anger.

However, if Bush wins in 2004, yes. I think I would cry. In fact, I just might move away.

However, as I look to next year's elections, I'm cautiously optimistic that Bush would lose.

No I won't really, but I will be depressed enough to want to and yet I think it's in the stars. The California recall election was a bellweather for me. I know that most Californians did not want the recall and most did not want the Gropenator elected, but yet I felt deep down the election had been rigged somehow and was a done deal. I figured if they pulled it off in California, it's in the works for 2004. I don't know how this can be proved, but I feel it down in the marrow of my bones.

Congress GOP or Democrat controlled will be so pissed at Bush it's not funny, if he gets re-elected. GOP senators whose seats are up in 2006 will be desperately trying to salvage themselves from the negative effects of the Bush agenda that they voted for. Bush may get a second term but it will be one hell of a miserable second term.

1) As I stated in a post last night, the system of redistricting for the House of Representatives is totally fucked up and makes it so the elections are not even competative.

2) Republicans control both houses because of the 9/11 factor that people thought they should support their president and give him a Republican senate. In addition, we didn't do enough to get our voter turnout and we kinda did kiss GOP ass in that election.

3) They said there were several thousand people who's votes got screwed up somehow in the governor's race but the margin wasn't enough to make a difference. Davis was blamed for the economy and they kicked him out. Bustamante had about the same amount of enthusiasm as Mclintock and Arnold was an exciting guy. People dismissed the accusations because the campaign made them seem like bullshit. They have EVERY right to do that. I don't like Arnold but he won the election fairly.

Even if he were to actually win this time, history has not been kind to presidents after year 5. It might very well be the only way to get to the bottom of even a few of his many crimes. But it's still early for a true standard bearer to emerge for the Democrats. Anything can happen. Like it or not, the repugs waited years for this power grab to take place. They're not going to just give it up.

All the candidates and all the Democrats in D.C. need to put aside their
differences and devote ALL of their efforts to ridding our elections of the
