Latest Spin: Voting against 87B for Iraq invites another 9-11 type attack
- This is the latest memo and spin from the Bush* WH...being repeated by every RWing pundit and talking head. Never mind that Iraq has never been connected in any way to 9-11. Republicans continue their conflicting and confusing spin about why we're in Iraq.

- One more intimidation tactic by the New Republicans.

1. Presidents who drive Saudi Princes around Crawford...
invite more 9/11 type attacks.

Presidents who take more vacations than any other in history invite more 9/11 type attacks.

Presidents who invade Muslim countries on false pretexts invite more 9/11 type attacks.

Presidents who say "bring em on" invite more 9/11 type attacks.

Presidents who try to COVER-UP what happened in the last 9/11 attack only invite more 9/11 type attacks.

Need I go on?

2. Presidents whose "adult" advisors...
...de-fund and de-prioritize counterterrorism invite more 9/11 type attacks, or at least the first one.

3. Biggest money laundering scam in history!
The Bushies are desperate to get that $87 billion with no strings attached.

You want to follow the money? Here it goes -- from our pockets as taxpayers into the pockets of war profiteers like Halliburton, which will cycle a good part part of the profit back to the Bush re-"election" effort and the GOP.

The Iraq War ain't nothin' but a front for the biggest money laundering scam in history. The Bush Administration plans to use that money to consolidate its own power and utterly destroy representative democracy in America.

There is no denying the troops in Iraq need support. And there is no denying that we have a responsibility to the Iraqi people to help them get their country functioning again. Money will have to be spent. But it is vital for the future of America that Congress take control and maintain control of all appropriations and expenditures in Iraq. No more White House secrets; no more blank checks.

5. It was a (paraphrased) quote...
Edited on Wed Oct-15-03 09:22 AM by Q
...from Sen. Craig Thomas (R) on CSPAN this morning....in response to a caller question about where the money was being spent in Iraq. I've heard other RWing pundits say the same thing.

6. There's one of those insidious little truths
if you believe, as I do, that they'd let it happen in order to get their money - if they needed to, that is. Unfortunately, they don't need to because Congress is full of people for whom the right thing is at the bottom of the to-do list.
