Has Dana Priest of the Wash. Post written anything on it recently? She didn't write that article in Sunday's Post (Mike Allen and Walter Pincus did), so I wonder what she's working on. Also, isn't that deadline for the WH to turn over documents to DOJ coming up soon?

1. I'm hoping for a civil suit

against Bob Novak or his newspaper. Then the lawyers can depose anyone it likes (Rove, Libby, etc). Anyone who expect the Justice Department to do its job is dreaming.

2. The deadline for WH staffers to turn over relevant docs

was October 7, the day of the Cal recall. It got buried.

3. Staffers turned over the docs, now the WH counsel is reviewing them

"National Security," of course. That process began last Tuesday and they are supposed to have two weeks to complete their review before turning over the docs. So we should expect some news next Wednesday the 22nd. Most likely the news will be that the docs have been scrubbed and redacted. But something will squeak through, I'm sure.

I am not giving up on this story. Wilson will be vindicated and the Bushites will pay, big time. They cannot wriggle out of this. They did it. Half of DC certainly knows WHO did it. And it's treason, and a felony. They will pay. Finally.

5. I don't know. I think they are under the microscope now

I think there is open rebellion at the CIA, FBI, State, some of the military. I don't think BFEE can get away with as much as they have in the past because all eyes are on them. I think there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than we know. I have hope. Just my opinion, of course.

They are making obvious maneuvers right now to get their next war on - looks like Syria. I think there are enough wise and professional people in the permanent government in DC who will do what they can to stop these lunatics. That's what I hope.

6. This morning I saw a lengthy speech from Joe Wilson on LinkTV.

It was filmed on August 8, but I had never seen it before. He told about the whole experience from Niger down through Novak's column.
