Wow, freepers want to send in mercenaries to save Terri Schiavo
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1001842/posts#14

Anyone know of any ex-special forces types who might be interested in a search and rescue?

Thanks,

I'm sending an e-mail to a buddy up north of here.

An off-duty Navy Seal, I'll let you know.

Please tell me you're only talking about the possibility of snatching Terri, and taking her to an undisclosed location to care for her.

Of course................

The special forces guys are trained to save lives by rescuing the wounded and imprisoned.

I think that description fits.

Why, when a biker hitman could be hired to get rid of the husband for a case of beer!

My curiosity is getting the better of me so I want to ask this. IF a "group", say some ex military types, went in and "rescued" Terri, could they take her to Canada or somewhere and get her the therapy that she needs? What sort of extradition laws do we have with Canada? Would they apply to Terri? Come on and indulge me...anyone????

To: PleaseNoMore

Your "rescue" is a kidnapping. We have an extradition treaty with Canada, and although their jails are cushier than ours, the kidnappers would be sitting in them until they're extradited back to the states. Terri would be sent back--if, of course, the move didn't kill her first.

My daughter would not be in Terri's predicament. I or my husband or one of her 3 brothers or one of her 3 uncles would kill her husband or anyone who chose to kill her. That is as plain as I can get.

2. The brain damaged girl in Tampa Fla.
where she's been in a vegatative state for 13 years. Husband has been trying to respect her wishes, no tubes/life support. She did not have a living will...thus the problem...parents want her to get rehab????

They just pulled her tube feeding.....she will die in a bout 14 days from dehydration. Big media circus......

9. You are right.
They are also complaining about a thread on the guardian's web site where someone talked about assassinating Bush (of course not a good thing), but didn't Jesse Helms insinuate something very similar in 1994 about a possible Clinton visit to North Carolina?

6. Thanks for answering that question
I'm torn on this issue. I know what I would want done,(pull the plug long ago) and my wife is well aware of it as well. But I can sympathize with the parents being one myself. It's a real sad situation. I guess the lesson is, get it in writing.

15. If you don't have an Advanced Directive or also
called a Living Will...then what ever efforts have been conducted to save the life should be respected. Thats why we all shoud have one!!!
Don't put the medical personel or family in such a deliema!

They have a court order to pull the G-Tube but after 13 years, well, it's rather questionable at this point. I'd let her veg out....now ...not in the early phase but jeeze...13 years later....too late.

4. I wish someone could save her. It's hard to believe our system of

"justice" allows such a reversion to barbarism.

The way a society treats its very young, its very old, and its disabled indicates how civilized its people are.

Murder of the unborn IMHO. Pretty barbaric.

Your entitled to your opinion. I won't argue with you it's a free country.

11. Is it true that the husband got a large
settlement to care for her, and she did not get adequate care?

Does he get to keep the money if she dies?

This whole thing sounds weird.

shameful cowards. Any person under the age of 45 who has a flag on their arial or a flag sticker on their truck/SUV should be immediately drafted. No wonder they worship a cheerleader.
