Coheed and Cambria-check em out if you haven't already |
|
I was in Zia'S the other day hunting for the new G3 DVD and they had this display stand with C and C's latest offering "IV"
I shamefully never heard of these guys before and I COMPLETELY misjudged the band's sound by the cover; looking at the cover you might expect some sort of gothic death metal or something..quite frankly it sounds like Rush if their lyrics were darker-think more Jay O' Barr style of writng (author of "The Crow) than Ayn Rand.
All in all INCREDIBLE I am ashamed I never heard of these guys before. I have immediately since gotten both their comics and their debut album which their first comic is based on. They came out in 2002 from what I understand and are quickly climbing up and destined for greatness-if you dig Progressive Metal you owe it to yourselve to check these guys out!

1. I saw them live about a year ago |

They were opening up for Thrice and Thrusday. Not generally my style of music, my cousin took me to the show. But the whole time Coheed and Cambria were on stage, all I could think about was Rush.
