Why does this sentence disturbs the living bejesus out of me.

I was reading this article from Yahoo News: UN Council Unanimously Adopts Iraq Resolution

I mean, I've known for months now that we have troops in Iraq and that the war is wrong. But there the comment was in Black & White:

a victory for the United States which sought approval for its occupation of the country.

Geez, I hear occupation and I think Germany in the late 1930's.

1. Just more outrageous Nazi propagandist ploys

Yahoo news is guilty of the most egregious use of language at times, especially in it's headlines. I am preparing myself for the onslaught of more lies from the Bush Goebbels Guys--I am ready for the bizarre world of the idiot Bush--and if no one gains the power to call him on any of his lies, if no one emerges that indeed can turn this country in the right direction--that is away from this blatant fascism, I fear we will see him and the millions of dollars he has garnered in bribes, err, donations that is, for his campaign, take the election--all he has to do is eliminate those who are truthtellers any way he can--and we know his filthy methods, and he has it made--the ignorant will cheer him up and down the platz, singing his praises and nominating him for the next Nobel Peace Prize.

The next little sprig of "hope" I suppose, now that the UN has capitulated to his overwhelming diplomatic foresight and ability,, is that someone will have something so astounding, so undeniably treasonous and corrupt on this idiot, that he will have to resign from the office he stole in the first place. I am cynical at this point.

3. They're only stating the truth though- I am devastated with you

Some amendments from France, Germany and Russia had been accepted but the United States refused to set a timetable for the end of the occupation and self-rule for Iraqis.

4. Bush has got the UN over a barrel

They've got to help - it's in their own self interest. If the middle east blows up... I mean, it's right next door. They'll be a lot more affected by it than we will. Refugees, terrorism, rising oil prices...

They've really got no choice.

5. A hollow victory--look at the bright side...

Germany, Russia, and France still are leaving Bush hanging out on his own. No troops..no money..no help.

Kind of like when a friend deceives and fails you over and over again. They just don't want to deal with Bush anymore. If only we can get regime change--things will get better.
