had been injured, I said at the time that it was perhaps a blessing in disguise -- I am positive of that now! :) Your happy family will be sharing a joyous Thanksgiving knowing that Ben is home -- injured yes, but home -- safe from the madness that is Iraq.

40. Yes It Was A Blessing

When I saw all the young men with limbs blown off, and shattered skulls, and blinded, and 25X worse than Benjamin I felt so damn LUCKY. Most of these badly wounded will never fully recover.

Your son looks better, my dad was in the hospital a long time he broke both hips (not at the same time due to advancing years) and it was a long struggle for him, learning to walk again. I wish your son progress with his recovery.
