Will there be a ticker tape parade for U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq?
Will American soldiers be in the mood to celebrate when thousands of their comrades have been slain in a war fought for the oil industry and defense contractors? I predict a very somber home-coming, whenever that may be...

that we appreciate their sacrifice even if we don't agree with the mission on which they were sent. We have to learn from what happened to Vietnam veterans, who were often treated with utter contempt when they returned from Vietnam.

(By the way, this will probably end up being linked to at Free Republic. If so, a message to freepers: you all can think whatever you want, but we love our country. Too bad if it's not the way you want us to show our love for it.)

5. That is a myth created by the right-wing.
Vietnam era soldiers were never spat upon.

4. Maybe.
I predict that there will be one sizable withdrawal engineered by Rove in 2006. Not real big, but big enough. Rove will set up a parade. Who wouldn't honor our brave men and women. It will be a big crowd broadcasted 24 hours a day until the midterms.

All to fake out America into sustaining a GOP majority. We will be there for decades.

7. Hell yes! It's not their fault our leader is a moron!
I'll go to their parade. They're going to need all the help and support they can get after what they've been through.

The great majority of them are doing their best and just trying to get through their assignments.

Nice to even think about them coming back.
