The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has renounced in its entirety the declaration by some dioceses in Canada, the United Kingdom and America to ordain and recognise the gays within the priesthood as well as accept homosexuals for marriages, describing the move as not only madness but satanic.

Anglican Communion, the Bishop, Rt Rev. Tunde Adeleye, lamented ... "Our church is evangelical, orthodox, bible based, liturgical and charismatic. we do not find an example of sex marriage in the bible for us to follow," stressing that even animals do not mate with their same-sex as they seemed to be wiser than men in that case,...In one of my sermons in the cathedral, I did mention that this is immoral, sinful and unacceptable to both human being and animals. Those who wish to practice it must be far less than animals."

As a wierd afterthought,

On the way out of the incessant fuel crisis in the country, Adeleye suggested that the issue could be minimised if the Federal government should build, at least three petrol stations in each state capital with each of the stations having more than ten selling points.

One of the huge social issues in Africa is HIV/AIDS. Canada has been leading the way to provide inexpensive AIDS drugs. Nevertheless:

THE Nigeria Baptist Convention in its campaign against HIV/Aids, has launched Baptist Aid Awareness Prevention programme (BAAP) to help curtail the spread of the virus in the country.

Prof. Osotimehin who was the guest speaker at the occasion attributed the increased spread of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria to the ignorance of most citizens... "Vulnerable are all of us, if we do not fight it aggressively through putting up proper discipline, decorum and abstain from illicit sex",

Earlier, the General Secretary of the Convention, Rev. Solomon Ishola called on all Christians to develop moral rectitude and courage to graciously say no to ungodly sex advances from all quarters, adding that the mis-use of God-given sexuality has contributed a lot to the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Note, not one word about condoms, sex education, or even sanitation.
