Sharon also mentions this....

This is the man who called for a "final solution" on the Palestinian situation. (I wonder where he got that from?)

This is the man who inflammed anger among Palestinians by visiting Temple Mount. I think he knew it would piss them off that is why he did it.

This is the man who in a cavalier-way said that the winds of war are coming to the Middle East. Is this what he really wants????

I miss Yitzak Rabin. I wonder how Sharon felt when he got assassinated?

No wonder I hate that fat old f-er!

1. yes he is
just like bush, the sharon is part of an axis of apartheid and, like in south africa, truly free peoples should oppose them on all fronts and put them in prison.

Then again, israel has always been a racist nation of democracy for one religion and slavery for another.... stupid fuckers.

He embarrasses all Jews(myself included) in America. He is one of the reasons that we have so much anti-semitism. Sharon and Paul Wolfowitz give all Jews a bad name. :( I only hope that some people can see through this and realize that the VAST majority of Jews are not like Sharon and Wolfowitz.

7. Jews need to advocate an even-handed policy in the ME then
The reason we have been suppporting Israel with a blank check for over half a century is because politicians fear, rightly or wrongly, that not rubber-stamping everything Israel does will cost them Jewish support. If Jews advocated an even-handed ME policy anti-Semitism against them would drop dramatically here.

11. I know some are
I know most Jews oppose Sharon. I just think they need to speak up about their opposition to it, just as I think Muslims need to speak up about their opposition to Islamic fundie terrorism. Until American politicians are free to form their own views on the ME without fear of losing Jewish support anti-Semitism will be a problem.

4. Sharon has the full support of the US govt and both Repub and Dem parties

It is one issue where both parties speak with one voice: Israel right or wrong.

And you are with Sharon, or you are with the terrorists.

Both he and Arafat should be locked up together in some very unpleasant place and forgotten.

6. Sharon stays in power for many many years, because that's
what Israel's voters want....

and with bush* giving sharon about $10 Billion dollars of our taxes every year...AND killing thousands in Iraq (another $70 Billion ALREADY spent on that this year alone, AND $87 Billion more in progress)...who could ask for more...it is truly a real sick synergistic relationship...

8. He is indeed...
The only person I can think of immediately who is responsible for more innocent deaths in his wars is George Bush.

10. He is as evil as they come ...
Edited on Fri Oct-17-03 04:03 PM by Flying_Pig
Between he, and his little friend Georgie, the two constitute a far greater evil than any other two humans on this planet. Why then, does the vast majority of our Congress, Dems and Repugs alike, support these fascist creatures? Why do Dems support giving him billions of dollars with which to enfore his apartheid, and create war? Why do Dems vote to give them support with things like the Syrian Sanctions vote?

What is the source of the overwhelming power of influence Sharon and Israel have on our Congress, and on our foreign policies? I want someone, anyone, to tell me the source of this power. A power so great, it makes otherwise sane and progressive individuals vote to support fascist war-mongers. What is this power?

(I give this thread maybe 5 more minutes, before it is locked, and/or, moved to I/P, whereupon, it will most likely be locked and archived for not meeting I/P guidelines, because it was not written for posting in I/P in the first place. Good luck!)
