The New $20.00 bill
Did anyone receive any yet? I was to my bank today and received the new $20 bills...Honestly, I think they're disgusting..I had to use them and I'm going to be honest about this..everyone who I gave them to at the store and doctors office, thought they're awful also..at first glance, they all wondered what was dumped on the bills due to their color.

Is going to be interesting to see how long it takes for the counterfeiters to figure out how to reproduce these since it's mostly $20's that are reproduced in this area.

I wonder how long before the people start complaining..

1. I saw one yesterday
and I think it's ugly too. It looks like the old ones, but like you say, with something spilled on them. And the little yellow '20's floating all over the back are really tacky.

2. Did you know they are spending like 36 million dollars to advertise it?
Why do you need to advertise money? I saw a commercial the other day for it.

3. Yup,
I took my son to the bank yesterday to trade for one of the new $20.00 bills. It looks like foreign currency to me. He thought it was awesome but, he's 10. He likes EVERYTHING...except Bush and the repukes. :7

4. Quite frankly...if you put an old twenty.....
...dollar bill in a new pair of Jeans and wash them in a washer with just a little bit of bleach
you'll get "the Look" of our new bills...

Barf!

8. Tin Foil Hat
Why did $20 bills become the first to combat counterfeiting? Why not $100 bills which are just as easy to fake? MHO is that we are getting the first look at two tiered currency. Enjoy your overseas vacations while you can. Only those who benefitted from tax cuts will be able to afford them in the future.

13. 20's are more common and easier to pass
most cashiers will look at a $100, but not a $20

and take off that stupid tin hat!

10. Anyone else think it significant that the most intelligent and democratic
president in our history, and one of the two whose writings are most frequently quoted, is relegated to the almost-never-seen $2 bill, while Andrew Jackson, a totally undistinguished man, gets the popular $20 and Hamilton, merely the first Secretary of the Treasury, gets the $10?

I wonder whom we would have to arm-twist to get that changed.

11. Oh come on, how bad is that $20 really? (let's investigate!)
But first, a pictoral reference:

I mean, the urine yellow of the big "20" in the lower right corner.

The peach puke color slushing in the middle?

And the corpse-like drowned blue-grey eagle prominently hiding those poison-tipped arrows behind some bozo's moniker?

Yet alone the words "USA TWENTY" and "TWENTY USA" in a wavy font which is lacking only an early-70's style font to complete its ridiculousness...

No wonder this "Jackson" person looks like he's stoned!

Oh look, it looks like somebody went to the toilet with the seat down!

The puke color is even more profound on the back side.

"In God We Trust" looks too prominent for its own good. What they really mean is "In Corporate Control We Trust".

Shouldn't the White House have a big electric fence surrounding it to keep all the terra'sts out?

I am sorry it is Glen Beck's homepage (but thats not my fault)

Is it possible the $20 bill was redesigned because of 9-11?

20. I just wonder what they hell they are doing?...
adjust:tinfoilhat:

Does anyone really think that they have 'readers' in the bills to find out how much cash you have? Would that be cost effective, especially on 5's or 10's?

Maybe, but even these goomers wouldn't go that far, (or would they?).

In any case, I'm going to build a Farraday Cage for a billfold. That should keep the rays away, and I can still get some milk from the grocery.

my history teacher had one in class the other day, and was passing it around, and i kind of like it. for one thing, it has little 20s all over the back, for another, it's not as boring as the old money.

what's wrong with that?

22. has anybody seen the 20 dollar trick to look like the twin towers and
pentagon as they were on 911? my spouse showed me the other day. Pretty awesome. It's folding the 20 a certain way that looks like the trade centers on fire and then turning it over and it looks like the pentagon on fire.

Pretty erie.

But I still wish the old money before they went with the big heads, was still around. That was much more aesthetically pleasing than this new design.

And frankly, they just get uglier every time.

*is still pissed that people hoard the dollar coin instead of actually USING THEM*
