Edited on Fri Oct-17-03 07:11 PM by _Jumper_
...immigration to other countries, particularly English-speaking ones? I've head that it can take up to 5 years to move to Canada. Are those cases rare are is the process slow?

1. You can move.......
to Canada and easily become a permanent resident. It takes a while to become a citizen of Canada. :kick:

9. Any difference in rights between citizen and permanent resident?
Just curious. I'd move out of this country if I could afford it.

The best place to go!!! Costa Rico is 2nd (IMO)
If Venezuela is ever permitted to settle down, that
would be 3rd.

8. it takes an instant
you simply go one day, and it is done.

a good way to test the water is to take a university degree in said country. It allows you to establish local cred, understand the culture and place, and connect with the place without jumping straight to marriage (citizenship). There is no rush, canada ain't goin' anywhere.
