Can't they get their own friggin day? We already reserved it.

I hate it when they have to screw things up. They better hope there isn't a riot.

In fact, I think their intention is to incite a riot. And then the pig cops will swoop down and arrest all the anti-war protesters and not touch the pro-war people.

What a bunch of wackos.

2. If you were at...
last year's DC march and rally, you wouldn't have been able to find the freepers without looking for them.

About two dozen of them were there, a couple of tables and Free Republic banners in a plaza along the march route.

We laughed at them. At least those of us who noticed them laughed at them.

There were also about a dozen Iraqi exiles there, supporting the war. We ignored them.

No big fights, no hassles. And I hope it stays that way this time.

6. last year's DC march
It was the best! I've never been in the midst of so many people who were so polite (not much room to manuever) and happy to be in the freezing cold!

I saw about four freepers up on a balcony. They were dressed in what appeared to be lightweight jackets, which is an indication that they didn't spend much time outside. Anyhoo, they had a banner, and a sign that said something like "hippies go home". ...whack & weak...

17. I attended both rallies in DC last year...
...the Freepers are sort of sad little people. Each one tries to out "Archie Bunker" the other. Two dozen is a generous estimate of their numbers.

3. That's their reason for being...
They don't have any true activist leanings -- because activism is usually the behavior of those trying to ensure social justice -- so they try to rally their pitiable members to counter any rally or protest someone else has planned.

Their turnouts aren't comparable to 'ours' in size, but ocassionally they do get a handful (I mean that almost literally) of loudmouthed morans to show up.

8. they have to protect their...
...porta-potties!

Seriously, these people rent a porta-potty for their event, and then spend all their time trying to keep "undesireables" out of it.

Photo of their impeachment event: this is all the people they could drag out for it:

11. I work with mostly Repugs. They never see these things.
As always, We protest!!! But the fact is that they dont even bother much anymore to protest our protests. They Know (sad to say) that they dont need to be there. We are offering nothing to national security or any defence from terrorism.

You want a day to say F@ck America? You dont have a clue. I am so sick of seeing this on this site!! Why do you believe we have are freedoms? How we feel safe to go to 7-11 when we want a slurpie. We can feel 99.9999% at comfort in our home.

Sorry If I am disruptive.
I had a very bad day and just sorry again.

14. They always have counter protests.
There's usually tens of thousands of us and tens of them. Don't worry, we're too smart to start anything and they're to frightened.
It's fun. It's like watching monkeys in the zoo. Remember though, if you want to use their porta potties , you have to recite the pledge of allegiance first.

16. I think we should be able to handle them without bloodshed.
You had to look pretty hard to spot the 'counterprotest' at last year's October march. I think there were a dozen of them, compared to some 130,000 of us. They are always vastly outnumbered on these occasions and while they do stand in the sidelines and rant they have yet to provoke any real confrontation.

Don't let them get to you, they're not worth it.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

19. I agree
It takes two sides to start a riot. Any, yes, they probably are there to incite and provoke but why give them the satisfaction. A much better idea would be to shake your head and chuckle or ignore them altogether.

And, although I've not been to D.C., the police at all of the protests that I went to in Chicago were nothing but courteous and professional. I realize there are a few rogue cops looking for problems, but keep in mind most police officers in urban areas belong to a union. I always make it a point to thank them for there service and helping us peacefully exercise our First Amendment rights. They are most appreciative of the gesture.

25. The freetards add amusement value
There's usually five or six with misspelled signs hiding behind a barricade while the hundreds of thousands of liberal patriots protest the treason of the Bush regime. Cute.

30. Because of the media
They have learned that if they hold their 2 dozen person protest on the same day that hundreds of thousands turn out for an ANSWER protest, that the media will give them an equal amount of air time.
