anyone do anything today as part of Clark's "National Day of Service"?

although, hmm, i wonder... does killing people in a senseless war count as a "service" to the nation? or bombing people who are no threat to us? contaminating a foreign land with depleted uranium? or giving a speech at a repub fundraiser maybe?

5. Let's see

I ran over a few women and children in intersections (since I don't have access to bombs, I must make do with my car.) I put some radioactive nuclear waste in a little Tupperware container in the back of my fridge to use at a late date. I donated a gazillion dollars to BushCo, all money made from my illegal energy investments.

Other than that, I organized an art show for our local communtiy center, and volunteered to work at the next clinic to spay and neuter feral and homeless cats.

but my volunteer work is not about Clark. That's the point. It's about doing something for the communtity without it being attached to some partisan group or person.

Maybe someone saw the Clark bumber sticker on my car, but I didn't point it out to them.

as far as I understood "National Service Day", the idea was to perform community service and "commemorate Wesley Clark's lifelong commitment to public service."

I really don't see anything wrong with wearing a Clark t-shirt while you're doing volunteer work, or having some flyers to hand out if anyone should ask you about the shirt (or Clark).

I was an usher in a wedding, so my day was already claimed.

There was not much notice given though. I know some people from my local meetup last week did not have enough time to get the day off

9. made a lot of signs for the upcoming protests in DC (Oct.25)...

and...bought a broken hockey stick from two young boys out in front of the ANSWER headquarters...the two boys were using the stick to rip up neighbors flowers and occasionally pounding on parked cars with it....so I negotiated a purchase price for the stick (so I could use it for holding up one of the 'Democratic Underground' signs at the DU meeting just before the rally. The two boys broke out into a big fight over who actually owned the broken hockey stick, and I refereed a decent settlement for them to SPLIT the money...it was $1 (bargained down from an original outrageous $5), with 50 cents going to each and a handshake between all...that is my first hand account for 'National Day of Service'....

12. look for the 'Democratic Underground' signs when you get to

the 'Bring Our Troops Home Now !' March in DC.....one of which is held up by that broken hockey stick....for the other four signs, I'll have to go out on the street and gather up some of those wooden sticks from the last election-signs here ...removes some of the trash clutter the roads here and recycles election-sign sticks into protest sign-sticks...following the 'March' on October 25th, the sticks and signs can be left with the homeless Veterans lying all over near the White House...these Veterans need to cobble together their make-shift shelters for the winter and these boards and sticks are a good start...

about the fact that I am tired of their shit. Now, that's doing the public a service, wouldn't you say.

oh yeah, and I took my recyclables to the recycling center....

And I prayed to God....that if she had anything to do with putting Bush into office, then I'll gladly awaiting for the 2nd 1/2 of the grand plan when she kicks his ass out! Told her that we were all waiting.
