Why is this true: "New tape bolsters Bush’s message"?
Talking about Osama Bin Forgotten's tape.
IN MY OPINION, IT SHOULD EMBARRASS BUSH TO NO END THAT HE HAS NOT FOUND OSAMA. IT SHOULD NOT BOLSTER HIS MESSAGE. IT SHOULD POINT OUT HE HAS SPENT 160 BILLION (70 + 87 B) IN EXTRA APPROPRIATIONS IN A WAR THAT LOST SIGHT OF WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING FROM THE BEGINNING: CATCHING OSAMA.
Arghhh... I have noticed that I have started capitalizing everything. I guess it is like throwing your shoe at the TV!

1. Damn right, caps notwithstanding
Sometimes all you can do is shout--I don't blame you on this one. What an asinine slant.

3. Everything in the universe
that happens including large methane explosions is good for bushco. So says corporate media!

Honest to god, this is the truth: we put off getting a new tv for about a year because we thought we would just put a coffee table threw it one day. Although we finally broke down, my family is very careful how we use it. Dangerous things tv's.

5. Bush is ((()))
Bush Solves a Puzzle
His closest advisors came to visit Dubya at the White House one evening and found him slamming down beers and whooping it up. They were astonished since he had given up drinking years ago. When asked why he was off the wagon, Dubya replied that he was celebrating finishing a jigsaw puzzle. They smiled and told him that wasn't much of an accomplishment. "Ah, but you're wrong. I did it in record time." When asked what that record was, he replied that he had finished it after only 6 months. Again, they told him that wasn't that great. "Oh yeah?" said the commander in chief, "Well the box says 3-5 YEARS!"

6. Perhaps if we say it in chorus:
Under George Bush, the threat of terrorism is worse, not better. Now we have displaced Iraquis who will join their armies.

7. It's not, except in the bizarro world we now live in
Remember this formula:

Osama alive and threatening = rationale for Bush to continue perpetual war on "terra" = mega $$ flowing into said war on "terra" = mega $$ flowing into the coffers of Halliburton, Bechtel, Dyncorp, Carlyle, KBR, etc. = mega campaign $$ flowing into the pockets of Bush, Cheney and the RNC.

10. Because MSNBC says it is so. Therefore it is so.
My God, they almost had us with all that bad news for a while. Good thing the president slapped their little wrists and woke them up. Now we're getting all the "good news". Which is what Americans really want, right? I mean who wants to get bummed out by the fact that our country is a big bad meanie and our president and all his men are a bunch of murderous criminals?

No, no, no, don't want to hear that. Pass the mashed potatoes and check the football scores.

12. Without boogeymen, Bush is nothing
His only trump card is the Murkan people's fear of the evil, crazy Ay-rab Mooslim terrist.

Without Osama, his trumped up "war" evaporates.

The key thing fo rthe "boogeyman" is a clearly identified, hated image. To create a new Osama would require anothe 9-11 and that can't happen until after the 2004 selection.

They must use the boogeyman sparingly else it seem that he is thumbing his nose at Shitforbrains. That would be embarassing. But used judiciously, the mere fact that Osama still lives is simply proof of just how evil and horrible and cunning he is. That''s why we need a strong leader like Shitforbrains.

Edited on Sun Oct-19-03 12:48 PM by cosmicdot

Oct. 18 -- A new audiotape purportedly of Osama bin Laden was aired Saturday, warning of new attacks against the United States and other countries while urging Iraqis not to cooperate with American soldiers. NBC’s Rosiland Jordan reports.

heading and "analysis" was. It won't do any good but made me feel better.
