Diebold won't return my emails. Let's ALL email them, till we get answers
I've written two emails to this person at Diebold, and she hasn't returned them. Why don't we ALL email her, and keep emailing her. Let's flood her mailbox and DEMAND an answer. What do you say? Here's her email address: susan@dieboldes.com

Here is the text of my two emails:

To whom it may concern:

I'm concerned about the integrity of your voting
systems. Are there any security measures to protect
against fraud? It seems particularly simple for one
of your programmers to make the code such that, for
example, every 5th vote for candidate A goes to
candidate B -- or every 4th vote, or 6th. If that
happened, how would anyone know? After all, there
aren't any paper trails so that voters can be certain
they voted for the candidates of their choice. If the
votes are tallied in files in the computer, the
programmers can tamper with them easily. What
safeguards are there to ensure that the votes are
tallied properly?

Thanks
Frank

Here was the second:

I find it rather amusing that not a single person at
Diebold can address my concerns about black box
voting. Actually, on second thought, scratch that --
it would be funny if only it weren't so terrifying.

2. Why not??
She hasn't even responded. Why not demand a response? If we flood her email inbox, we'll probably piss her off enough to at least answer us.

3. don't mean to be a pain here...
But, what did you expect this person to say ? At most, you should expect a form letter saying "your vote is important to us"... Or, based on what you wrote, they could simply say: "we have paper trails; we can print out the final results" and they would be telling the truth... Is your goal to get a response ? to annoy them ?... Thanks. -C

4. The goal is to at least make them aware
that plenty of people are onto them and are watching them, and that they are not going to be able to just do anything they want and not have to eventually answer for it.

5. ok, I see your point...
it may help... But only if people complain to their reps as well, and say so in their letter to Diebold... I think... -C
