In our local newspaper, The Press Enterprise, there was an article about President George Bush visiting the area. He was here with Arnold Schwarzenegger and state Senate Minority Leader Jim Brulte. The article stated that Brulte and Bush go way back. The president ribbed the slimmed-down senator, telling the audience, "If he loses any more weight, he's going to be doing Subway commercials". Brulte dished it back: "Hey, I was never anywhere near as big as the guy in the Subway commercials," he told Bush.

It's nice to know that the president is so informed about Subway.

the joke wasn't written beforehand? Boy George doesn't say much that hasn't been scripted, and ad libs very badly, so it could have easily been provided to him.

Particularly since the Subway pres is such a big fan (and if she's a contributor, you can be sure the "ad" was intentional!).
