A New Vietnam (you won't see this on your TV)
Edited on Mon Oct-20-03 11:10 AM by leftchick
I came across this today and thought it quite informative. It goes where cnn/msrnc and all the other dreck dare not tread.

A new Vietnam...

By Ahmad Amrawi

Sunday 10 August 2003, 13:20 Makka Time, 10:20 GMT

<snip> The tactics of searching neighbourhoods, blockading cities, mass round-up operations, and torturing and killing of civilians are fuelling the resentment of the Iraqi people toward occupation forces.

Resistance is gaining momentum in the central and mid-northern regions of Iraq while the Shia dominated regions in the south have been relatively quiet so far.

However, Iraqi resistance groups are not clearly defined yet, and only four groups - unknown before - have revealed their identities and warned the occupation forces that they will fight until Iraq is free.

These are:

The Armed Islamic Movement for al-Qaida
The National Brigades of Iraqi Resistance
The National Front of Fedayeen
The Salfist Jihad Group.

The mounting number of casualties from combat operations has exacerbated US worries and opinion polls have shown that an increasing number of American citizens are not happy with the present situation in Iraq.

.....I have to say I find this report from aljazeera more credible than any of the filtered horseshit found on TV!

3. so you're saying its impossible for an American to kill a civilian?
collllllateral damage, right?

I'm sure all the cases are "under investigation" right now.

4. You will have better luck defending it than denying it

Even the regime has not been able to keep it hidden completely, and frankly, why should they?

The affluent voting class has no problem with it.

THey are just Muslims, enemies of freedom, hijackers of airplanes, and it is, after all, a Crusade.

Even CrusadeMedia has not been able to avoid it entirely.

Don't think of it as torturing and killing civilians. Think of it as intensive interrogation and targeted pre-emptive anti-terror operations, like Israel does.

5. or regrettable incidents that will be investigated
after all, we're securing the peace. And goddamnit, stop concentrating on the negative! There's a lot of good being done in Iraq these days. Just ask these two...

6. Good points. And Al Jaz has already been bombed twice for failure to

obey the regime. The first month of the Crusade coverage was nothing but a 6 week hate for Al Jaz and their terroristic and freedom-hating insistence on showing footage of mutilated and murdered babies and grandmothers, uncles and aunts.

Panel guest after panel guest, whole walls of panel guests flowed across the starred and striped CrusadeNet sets to revile and decry and denounce and proclaim as evil Al Jazeera for showing the world pictures that were not plump little kids lisping about "Daddy is killing bad guys in Iraq" and cut to the big ship and the tearful young wives holding up little hands to wave bye bye, and the Wall of Pride.

No, Al Jazeera showed what Canada TV would show if Malaysian tanks rolled down your street, and Malaysian soldiers shredded the little bodies of the children who live next door to you, before turning their guns toward your house.

8. why do you say that?
Because the American media has been so forthcoming about events in Iraq? :eyes: Like I said, at this point Aljazeera is a much better source than any "news" from the US when it comes to events in Iraq.

10. That's why I advise foreign websites for news.
I cannot possibly tell you how it helps pull off those national "news" blinders.

Rule 1: Every site in the entire world lies a bit.
Rule 2: They will ONLY let go "just enough" actual information about their activities/problems to keep you in their corner.
Rule 3: If you know all four corners personal "views", YOU SEE THE REAL GAME!

(Well, close enough that is to want to get Bush out at any cost.)
