Who else thinks Howard Dean is perspicacious?
I'm a Clark supporter.

And having watched Dean, I think he's kind of perspicacious.

Thoughts?

1. Isn't being "persipacaious"
a prerequisite to get into med school?

I don't think they take the obtuse....

3. Not particularly 'perspicacious,' IMO.
I'm not impressed with him. "Perspicacious," however, is a very nice word. I will make every effort to use it at least 3 more times today.

4. Then vote for him, and give the dictionary a rest
You could just drop your erstwhile support of Clark and vote for Dean instead. Or are you just being pedantic?

11. Very much so.
He's very much the antithesis of the current resident of the White House, as is Clark.

I'm just hoping that Clark and/or Dean aren't too intelligent and quick-witted for the American public. I have spoken with way too many people who voted for Bush in 2000 because Gore was "too smart".

14. Yes...he's conman clever, but, not intellectually deep.
Clinton had aspects of that cleverness but was ALSO intellectually strong. Kerry is intellectually strong with just a trace of clever. I'd say Edwards and Clark are similar, but in a less obvious way.

24. The first time I heard this word...
...was on an episode of "Leave It to Beaver." It was the story of Beaver's paper route, and Ward used it when talking with the Beav's supervisor.

The actual form of the word used was "perspicacity."

And who said you can't learn anything from TV?

You can't be intelligent AND a doctor.

You're disdain for Dean is all too apparent in your INability to refrain from posting some insult in a thread about him.

You're black heart is on your sleeve.

36. medicare defense?
What is medicare defense? I looked up "cut medicare defense" in google and got nothing.

If you're talking about cutting medicare GROWTH, TEN YEARS AGO, then you would be right, except that Dean's support of cutting medicare growth is something that Clinton DID, proving that if you balance the budget, the economy improves and you keep things like SS and Medicare SOLVENT. FACT: In Vermont, Dean expanded medicare and medicaid as part of his providing affordable health care to 99% of people under 18 and 92% of adults.

He was never aginst funding medicare. And he considered cutting it's growth as an effort to keep it solvent. Clinton proved to him that you don't have to cut iut as much to keep it going. Fix the economy and fix the problems that come about as a result of a bad economy. Pretty simple.

Even then, that was what he was thinking a DECADE ago. He's not for it now because he LEARNED. I suppose from your incredibly well reasoned and fair posts that you are against learning?
