Department of Propaganda
Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld has acknowledged using "disinformation" in an attempt to control the press coverage of the Iraqi war. The defense department has taken the responsibility of re-building the Iraqi infrastructure and "guiding" their new government, leaving the state department impotent.

Since the defense department is the ONLY source of news from Iraq, and the defense department said that it is spreading lies - how does one learn the truth?

1. The truth, of course, is relative
There are many sources of non-DOD information. The links on this site are only a start.

Note that many of them have DOD sources but you can pick and choose. Foreign sources are good for providing a different viewpoint.
