FU Gallup, new Pew poll Bush drops 5 points to 50%
And yesterday Zogby had a poll with Bush at 49%, but After all day of reporting on the Zogby poll. Buchanan and Press still have the Gallup poll results showing Bush at 56%. Go figure.

1. And it's goin' nowhere but down
Based on the track records of the polls, *'s number will drop to 19% by Election Day, virtually guaranteeing a Dem victory in 2004.

4. If the media wants to say Gallup says 56% that's fine
As long as Bush doesn't have a demoralizing lead, the more people think they might have to put up with him another 4 years, the harder people will try to get rid of him.

5. yes but
The thing is when Gallup came out with their poll, It drove the news on CNN and MSNBC. CNN didnt mention it, MSNBC used it a couple of times during the day, but continue to show the Gallup results on it's schroll.

6. An interesting observation about these polls:
An interesting thing I've noticed about these polls. You'll notice that most have an "I don't Know Column". Zogby get's rid of most of these by splitting into four groups instead and lump "fair" in w/ "poor". I contend these "I don't know's" are more inclined towards negative or would be considered "fair" by Zogby's reckoning because people just don't want to admit outright they think he's doing a piss poor job.

More about Gallup's lack of credibility and why Gallup's got lot's of splainin' to do here:
