I LOVE the $87B / Iraq debate

The Repugs say that voting against the bill is not supporting the troops. But the Chimp is threatening to VETO the bill if it includes any loans, i.e. any attempt for Americans to be repaid for footing the bill for Iraqi reconstruction.

I guess Chimpy doesn't support the troops, then, does he?

What a great place the Dems are in in that issue. Stick it to 'em, folks!

Tough Choice - but ya gotta dance with the one that brought ya, if you are a trough sow like Bush*. God, he is so fucking transparent and most of America willingly turns a blind eye to their greedy little self-created frankenstein.

3. Just more "jerk" politics
If Bush was a real leader, he would have proposed two bills - $67 Billion for "troops" and $20 Billion for Iraq. But since everything this administration does is highly politicized, ain't going to happen.

4. Where do we stand right now?
The senate passed a version of the bill w/ the loan provision and I saw a thread last night that seemed to suggest the House passed a bill too that included the loan provision, but I've seen no other confirmation of this. Anyone know the status of the two bills and the likelihood of it being sent to the Chimp w/ the loan provisions intact?

6. My understanding
is that the House did not include a loan provision, and the Senate did. The media is reporting that the loan provision will probably be stripped out by the Repuke Congressional leaders, who oppose disagreeing with Bush* on anything, but that will endanger the bills cahnces in the Senate where even Repukes want the loan provision in.

7. House version has no loans.
Their corporate masters don't want Iraq repudiating the loans later on the basis that 'we the occupation' forced them to make loans against their economic intests.

It will pass to the president with NO loans, IMHO.

And so help me if there is ONE Democrat in the Rose Garden...gotta watch that blood pressure.

5. Please let him veto, please let him veto
Do you think the Dems in congress will use that ammo you just pointed out?

Broader question: We have soooo much unused ammo on these clowns...what are we waiting for?
