Can Bush repeal the Freedom of Information Act?
Given how the Bush administration has been so secretive with government documents...

Can Bush repeal FOIA? Can he...or John Ashcroft...suspend FOIA on "national security" issues?

Just wondering.

TIA

1. Only Congress can repeal laws
However, FOIA already includes an exception for info that would threaten our national security if released.

5. ASSkroft has already
watered down the FOIA to almost nothing, and has praised his staff for refusing more FOIA requests than have previously ever been refused.
