15. that and...
Edited on Wed Oct-22-03 03:12 PM by booniapolis
why is it that the big hero (Jessica Lynch) of the war is white. is it a coincidence that the big "success" and "highlight" of the invasion was the "rescue" of a blonde, blue-eyed, white 20 year-old with a camera-friendly face?
(just a warning, it is 4:10am, so if this makes no sense, thats why, i'll edit (again) if i have to, sorry)

17. How Bogus
GOP.GOV is registered to and operated by the US House of representatives. If you click on "get customized e-mail updates" and are represented by a republican, you are invivted to sign up for updates from your representative. If you are represented by a democrat, you are invited to sign up to revceive updates from "republican representatives."

What the hell business does congress have operating partisan web sites? Even if there is a democratic version out there somewhere, it still stinks. Unless the government is providing web space for every political party under the sun, they have no business operating web sites for any.

11. Exactly - Same with MajorityLeader.Gov
http://www.majorityleader.gov/

Majority Leader is a POLITICAL POSITION - not a CONSTITUTIONAL POSITION - why Delay has a website DEVOTED to him is a WASTE, FRAUD, and ABUSE.

10. Questions I'd love to ask the (R) who went to Iraq
1. Where did you SLEEP while in Iraq. (Trick quesiton - they probably slept in a 5 star hotel in Kuwait)

2. Did you walk down a typical Iraqi street without an guards? (Answer - of course not)

3. An Iraqi comes up to you and says "Marhaba". What did he say? (Hello - as if these bozos would bother to learn the local language)

12. I suspect Bechtel
If you go to the "acheivements" section of the website, you will note how all the stories about how wonderful & fun it is to re-build Iraq. Several feature what great job corporations are doing.

18. Here's the e-mail
of the technical contact for the domain:

joe.adams@mail.house.gov

I woulnd't go off on this guy, he's just doing a job. But, he can probably answer questions you might have about the domain, including who's in charge of it; who provides the content; etc.

20. Write your congressperson!!!!!
Here's my email to Sen. Mark Dayton:

I am writing to you in regards to the following website:

http://www.freedom.gov/

I am shocked and dismayed that my tax dollars are going to pay for this website's clearly partisan propaganda. I found it offensive that the website promoted the trips of Republican members of congress. This blatantly partisan website seems to promote only the Republican party line with no regard for very valid dissenting opinions.

With epitaphs such as "Victory in Iraq" and "Winning the war on Terrorism" plastered upon it, www.freedom.gov does little more then spout neo-conservative rhetoric while ignoring the fact that US soldiers continue to die and it seems that al-Queda's ranks are swelling and pouring into Iraq to destabalize and terrorize its people.

I demand that my tax dollars stop going to support this propaganda. The .gov domain should not be used to mis-represent the truth or as a tool to promote policy that is based upon lies told to the American people.

Thank you for your time.
