People seem to hate dictatorships, but they love corporations. Aren't corporations dictatorships? What's democratic about them?

I always thought that Saddam should have declared Iraq to be a corporation, appointed himself the CEO, his sons could have been VPs or CFOs or something, and his friends could all have positions. This is how the Bush family does things. The people of Iraq could have been sold stock in the corporation too. Would the US have invaded a corporation?

1. some corporations are meritocracies

some are dictatorships (they usually don't last long)

many are effectively oligarchies.

people don't hate actual dictatorships. They hate rhetorical dictatorships.

No one hated Noriega until he became a rhetorical boogeyman in GOP hate speech.
