As a friend of both parties, it was not something one would wish to see. I believe Skinner banned BBV threads for the rest of the day. I don't know if that was the precipitating incident or not.

I begged and pleaded with Bev NOT to go there... and now I feel like SHIT for not trying harder. This is what happens when threads (issues) become personal.

Perhaps Skinner might be willing to reconsider -- BBV discussion and activism is too important to us all. We simply can not afford to lose the voices and participation of either Bev or Roxanne here at DU.

I'm going to email SKinner and I hope others will as well.

But I am going to keep my eye on what was accomplished in the long run by Bev and every other activist who worked with her. Y'all got the word out in the face of a constant hostile barrage from a powerful corporation. All their money and influence did them no good in the end, because they couldn't buy Bev's silence, the only thing they really wanted. Now that Pandora's black box is open wide they aren't going to be able to put their secrets back in.

You are the seeds Bev planted. Diebold should be scared.
