2. That is not accurate
in fact, he expressly said NOT to get into anyone's camp now. He also said that each candidate had positives and negatives.

5. Thank you for insisting on accuracy on this, Terwilliger.
He expressedly stated the necessity of NOT just jumping into someone's camp right now. He also said that the stance right now should NOT be "Anyone but Bush," because it sends the wrong message to the Democratic Party hacks -- one of desperation that will result in them offering the same baked-over "Clintonesque" centrist policies. He said that the correct stance right now should be "Anyone but Lieberman", because there is plenty of time for ABB next year.

10. That's exactly what it is...a coy endorsement of Clark.
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 09:23 AM by unfrigginreal
The whole reason that he's making the "don't join any camp" plea, is to keep the Dean campaign from getting too strong for Clark to catch.

I don't like it, but I've come to expect bullshit like this from Moore.

11. Actually --- The Post Was More Accurate Than Terwilliger's Reply
The original post did not say that M. Moore was in Clark's camp. The post simply stated that M. Moore was "talking up" Clark and "pushing for him." In fact, Moore was talking very positively about Clark. Moreover, M. Moore has often spoken positively of Clark on several occasions.

6. true but...
of all of them he seems more excited about Clark. He does say he needs to answer some questions but also says that "we're not fighting the Kosovo war now". And ridiculed people who says they won't vote for him because he says he voted for Reagan.

But yes, you're right he says not to back anybody but Bush right now. He says how about anybody but Lieberman :)

13. Why shouldn't we get an anyone's camp right now.
It is time for activists to become active. If you are going to become active in a campaign, you have to choose a campaign in which to become active.

8. one thing he said was
he has the fantasy of seeing them debating each other. He said that they would really have to "stuff" that flight suit for that debate.

He talked about when someone in a town hall type of event asked if he would support the defense of marriage act he looked right at the man and said no I would not. When asked about medical marijuana he said that he would not force states that have voted for medical marijuana to follow federal laws. He seems to think that the symbol of a four star general standing up for liberal ideas will make a big impact on the middle america. Sort of the same thing that Gene Lyons was talking about in his article about the "symbol" that Clark represents.

12. I think what's partially motivating Moores support
besides his comments on why he thinks Clark would make an effective candidate and President, Clark really stuck up for him (i think on Hardball after moores segment) when it appeared nearly everyone was condemning and attacking him for his oscar speech.

14. Gen. Clark
Seems inmcreasingly to be the best possible candidate the Democratic Party could put forward in the upcoming Presidential election.

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"
