1. NPR News
The regular news, not the talk shows.

3. Here.
I get more breaking news from here than anywhere else.
In the car, it's NPR.

4. Doesn't anyone read newspapres anymore?
The WP, WSJ and even the NYT have excellent in depth coverage of real, important events everyday, at least, far more depth than your average 20 second TV "news" spot.

Well, I guess reading on the internet counts too, of course...

5. Internet
When it comes to news as well as entertainment, you're better off just killing your television.

8. Everywhere- CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, NPR, Talk Radio, DU, Buzzflash
I enjoy perusing AM Conservative Talk Radio and Fox news, though I take nothing they say seriously. It's beneficial for me to know all sides, slants, angles, what have you, on political issues. I ultimately rely on AP and Reuters for credible information, and I enjoy the DU, bartcop, buzzflash, and truthout interpretation of significant political/cultural events.

In a single day, I try to read:

New topics in DU forums (which can lead to important news items in other mainstream publications such as The New York Times, etc.)
The latest bartcop issue
New articles on Buzzflash
New articles on truthout
Listen to NPR throughout the day
Skim Fox news and AM Talk radio (Rush, Hannity, Neal Boortz)
Watch CBS/NBC evening news
Catch CNN Headline News
Watch Crossfire
The Daily Show @ 11:00
Read my local paper (The Florida Times Union)
Read the Wall Street Journal, LA Times, USA Today (when I can visit the library)

It doesn't always happen that way, but for me following a schedule like this leaevs me with a good indication of the American zeitgeist, trends, etc.

14. Hardly ever watch broadcast news anymore,
even the CBC. I'm saturated with information from the Net all day, from all over the world. These are the best of times for a news junkie.

16. OMG They quietly censored this poll too!
If it was a DU mod, fine, but shouldn't you give people some notice that you're doing it?

They changed (with parentheses to show sarcasm - there is almost no "NEWS" on Fox) to just
WTF is up with that?
