Chicago is running Anti Bush commercials.........HAHAHAHA!
I can't remember the guy's name who is running for secretary of something in Illinois but he is running anti Bush ads and it's on the major channels.
I caught the tail end of the commercial last night and I heard it running a few Min's ago.
The commercial is talking about Bush's failures and the "oil war".

15. from what i gather this will be the trend
In '04, all the democratic candidates for national office will run against Bush and not against the actual candidate. If you ask me, its part brilliance and part potential political suicide.

5. Dan Hynes commercials started running yesterday
Dan Hynes is also running for the Seante, and I saw his forst commercial last night. 3 words: "Pulls no punches."

I LOVE it when Democrats attack (Repukes, that is)! :hi:

10. You can only get away with it in solidly Democratic districts, though.

18. Probably my mistake.
Is Hynes running for the U.S. Senate or the state senate? If the latter, it kind of depends on the political makeup of his senatorial district - where the ads air is less important than who the actual voters will be. If the former, I'm just wrong and never mind.

20. US Senate, max.
He and Blair Hull both. Hynes is our State Comptroller, and has received bipartisan support in the past. He is also the youngest constitutional officer ever in the State's 185-year history. :)

22. Maybe
But Tim Johnson (IL 15-Neanderthal) is somewhere to the right of Atilla the Hun, politically, AND he actually LOOKS like a balding ferret (really!)! :P

11. Blair Hull's commercials are airing in southern Illinois via St. Louis
They are very effective. I'm starting to get tired of the line "I'm Blair Hull and I approved this ad". What is up with that??

Im starting to think that has something to do with CFR, because every politcal add says at the end, "Im such and such, and I approved this message"
