It's been two years. Why no news in the anthrax murders?
Might it be because they actually helped the Bushists make the case for war against Iraq? Where are those WMDs? Somewhere in the suburbs of Washington?

1. Unsolved Mysteries would like to know ...
... why our Democratic leaders in Congress were targetted.

5. NY Times is the only connection that I can draw ...
... though I believe she got a hoax letter. Tom Brokaw's assistant was less lucky (but lived).

6. Judith Miller is also a notorious suck-up to neo-cons in Defense
She's been found out spreading dubious stories the Pentagon wanted spread about Iraqi WMDs from Iraqi exiles who couldn't have known what they were tallkng about. She revived Cheney's beloved aluminum tube story days after it had been debunked.

14. Well, I agree, but this couldn't have happened
Why would Republicans send anthrax to other Republicans?

4. Judicial Watch was the toast of the town investigating Clinton
--but when they switch to Shrubbie, no one returns their calls.

http://www.judicialwatch.org/2953.shtml

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government abuse and corruption, said today that the Bush administration has failed to provide a complete and accurate response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request concerning the decision to place White House staff on a regimen of the powerful antibiotic, Cipro, the same day as the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

8. because it wasn't a muslim that did it
and therefore there's no way to tie to Bin Laden - didn't you get the memo ALL Bad Things = Bin Laden. No Bin Laden and/or muslim connection - no problem

9. Yep. That's my read
It was a clear message to Daschle and Leahy: play our game or feed worms.

16. But why didnt Daschle and Leahy raise the roof in Congress about it?
Silence equals complicity equals more invitation of evil. And look what has happened since the anthrax.

If no one says anything, they just keep it coming.

15. Bingo!
Of the 285 million Americans who could have been arbitrarily "attacked" - it's Tom Daschle - the leader of the OPPOSITION party - the leader of the OPPOSITION to the PATRIOT ACT - who receives the anthrax!!

10. It's domestic.
Can't be terrorism ya know? Remember Eric Rudolph and the SC ricin scare last week? Me neither, because it wasn't "terrorism".

11. Because
they couldn't find enough evidence to tie it to Iraq.

"Bulgarian intelligence has found that Saddam Hussein acquired anthrax to attack United States institutions" doesn't sound very convincing, does it?

13. I'm willing to bet
that among other things they don't want to let on just how unsecured America's bio-weapon arsenal (which it shouldn't even have) really is. There was an inventory at Ft. Detrick in '92 where 27 biological toxin specimens came up missing, among them were anthrax and ebola. That only came out because someone blew the whistle. Who knows what else may have slipped through the cracks?

Nope, I think a lot of people have a vested interested in not looking too closely.
