I've been catching the occasional ad for Scarborough Country today. Tonight's topic: Why is the "liberal media" (GRRRRRR) picking on our poor enfeebled ex-president Ronald "Gipper" Reagan?

I would think that after you spent eight years investigating Clinton, you wouldn't mind your darling Ronnie going under the microscope. BTW, how is that Clinton investigation going? 4. Call me cruel, but I think the Reagan Myth NEEDS a good smearing

It might not be historically accurate to have Reagan use the words he uses in this show, but the 'Deify Reagan' crowd has been lying their asses off about Reagan's "greatness" for far too long. The myth should be taken down a few notches. Propaganda can work both ways.

Rove's DC 9-11 wasn't exactly historically accurate, either... come to think of it.

Amazing,just like the Neal Boortz radio show their ratings are so low they fall off the page in the book yet they STILL get to keep their respective slots--even with menial viewers or listeners. If that doesn't tell you who REALLY owns the Media then nothing else will.

Did you see Michael Moore's speech where he said he bought a domain name called "ScarboroughKilledHisAssistant.com"? Moore is going to put all the information he has gathered about the assistant's death there (including the fact that the doctor who did the autopsy had been fired for a similar finding of "accidental death" in what was later confirmed as a murder)
He is doing it because Scarborough said Moore hated America without Moore being able to rebut those statements. I hope he really does it.

I swear he brought up a supposed "DOOR TO DOOR POLL" in Iraq that showed how much the Iraqi folk just love the presence of the American soldiers. He didn't even notice Jon Stewart was kinda making fun of him. It was so f***ing ABSURD.

last night during his "let's give Rush a break" interview with General ..... Joe was trying to get the former drug czar General Barry McCaffrey to say that Rush was exploited and given addictive meds by his doctor due to his social class....

Joe: Do you think doctors are a little too quick to prescribe these strong medications, especially to middle- and upper-middle-class Americans who, after all, are good-paying patients?
MCCAFFREY: Well, you raise a very important point.
Let me correct a misapprehension. By and large, people do not get addicted and stay as compulsive drug users who are being treated for pain management. That just isn’t the case. It’s rare that it happens. They do end up with a-going into recovery, in the sense that they have a physiological addiction that they have to get rid of.
But it’s rare for a guy on pain management to do this. Rush Limbaugh was taking these drugs not to handle his pain, but to get a euphoric rush. They’re grinding up the OxyContin, stripping away the time-prevention factor, so it comes out in a steady state. They’re sticking it up their nose. They’re ingesting it in ground-up form. He was not doing this for pain management.
He’s chronically addicted, just like a person on crack cocaine or heroin. That’s the problem he has got to face up to.
