Hitler, Poppy and Smirk in the Matrix Reloaded (Architect Scene)
I bought the DVD and watched it and now wonder if the Wachosky brothers might know about the Hitler/BFEE connection. Out of the thousands of scenes that flicker on the small screens in the round room as Neo speaks to the Architect, there are only a few times that an image is enlarged thru use of more than one screen... Once was Hitler. He took up approximately 8 screens....then Poppy was on there afterwards and he took up 6 screens or so. At the same time Poppy was up, Chimpy's unmistakable simian head appeared taking up 4-6 screens to the right of Poppy.
There were no other human leaders on which this technique was used...indeed, I have no idea if ay other national figueres appeared on small one-set images. But it was obvious only certain things got the multtiple screen treatment, and it is VERY interesting the Wachowsky's only picks for this were Hitler and the BFEE.
I know the neo-cons hate the movie on several levels...but they are gonna have a cow when they hear about this. Is it hard to get into freerepublic? I want to let them know about this, so they can spend the weekend geting their panties in a bunch over the connection.

3. Also a tip for getting back on once tombstoned...
You need to use your email address to register the first time. However you can re-register as many times as you like by using variations on your email address.

i.e.
myname@host.com
myname+1@host.com
myname+4@host.com

Many email servers usually resolve the email address with the +1 etc extension as the base email address but it fools the Freerepublic database and allows you to register another account.

Note: This trick will not work with all email providers so you may need to check. If it doesn't then you will probably find it hard to get back on once tombstoned unless you have a variety of separate email addresses.

4. I think they know about it already. I knew in theatrical release
and we all talked about it then. IMO it is deliberate. And there's a bonus -- you reach people who you might not otherwise.

5. interesting sequence
I definitely noticed Hitler and Bush One and Two when seeing the film in the theater. I think a few other notorious faces from history do pop up, but not as prominently as those three. When I brought the DVD home I had to still frame through that sequence a few times to remind myself that those images did in fact exist. What is interesting is the images combined with the dialogue. I believe the architect is talking about how he "redesigned the matrix to more accurately depict the varying grotesqueries of your (human) nature." Scary , huh? It's interesting to see how anti-war and more specifically anti-Bush nuances are appearing in more and more films. It is also telling that these statements are usually delivered in very subtle ways, as if a more blatant statement would provoke censure...which it probably would.

6. There are hundreds of thousands who did not notice it at the theater
Which is why it is so clever of the Wachosky's....cuz they know people are gonna use that pause on the DVD in that scene to try and see shit. And I was one who did not notice it at the theater...there has to be hundreds of thousands like me who WILL notice it now.
And yes, it is wonderful about the "varying grotesqueries of your human nature" part to go along with it. Beautiful.
I posted a mock "enraged" post about this scene at FR... haha. I guess I should not say this here, since they have their troll-goobers looking for stuff like this to tip them off, but I coud care less.
