Poll question: Who will the Independent votes go to? |
|
If the election were held tomorrow, which person running would get the most Independent votes?
And just to spice it up I am including Bush*

I have my doubts that any independents will vote for Dennis.
I like him too, but come on....

2. I wonder at that opinion |

as I AM an Indie and am very drawn to Kucinich's message. He is the only candidate for the nomination that I feel totally comfortable with. Can it be that your opinion of those who register independent is different from the true nature of those of us who find a home in neither party?
Edited to add that I doubt that only true independents are voting in that poll............

I guess that I have always thought of independents as moderates. Those in the middle who tend to be swing voters.
Those types of independents are very unlikely to move towards Kucinich.

5. we come in all forms I guess..... |
|
there are those who find no home within the republican party and htose who find it not within the dems either...Most of my friends are either indies or greens and they are, by and large quite left. It just shows you that our judgements are not always as rock solid as we believe them to be......which leads to the myth that the voting public will not accept a message from the left...another tale for another place.

4. This surprises me as well because.. |
|
I just switched from Indie to Dem and know a lot of Indies, and they are 95% pretty moderate. Socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

9. There are all kinds of different Independents |
|
I'm a registered Independent "swing voter" and I will be voting for Dean. There are also the considerably liberal Independents who will be divided between Dean and Kucinich. Clark will have some of the swing voter support as well, but I don't think he's going to hold much of the swing voter support once things heat up more. He's not too hot about defending himself and I suspect the other campaigns are going to sway public opinion about him. Dean doesn't just take the attacks. He fights back immediately and powerfully. That's what's going to lead him to get the majority of the Independents. He has the strongest personality of all the candidates.
