BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz vowed the U.S. mission in Iraq will not be deterred by attacks such as the one which drove him from his Baghdad hotel room, killed a U.S. solider and wounded 15 others.

As many as eight small rockets slammed into the north side of the Al Rasheed Hotel at about 6:10 a.m. local time Sunday, a coalition official said. Wolfowitz was in his room on the same side of the hotel at the time of the attack, an aide told CNN.
