White House fears public outrage of pre-9/11 "Presidential Daily Brief"...

CIA: August 6, 2001....Mr. President we have intelligence that Osama plans on flying planes into buildings very soon...

Bush: Let them eat cake.

This is why you are seeing the White House trying to hide this stuff under the guise of "national security" or "executive order"

1. This is the most important line in the story.
"If the families of the victims weighed in — and heavily, as they did before — then we'd have a chance of succeeding," said Senator John McCain, the Arizona Republican who was an important sponsor of the legislation creating the commission. He said that, given the "obfuscation" of the administration in meeting document requests, he was ready to pursue an extension "if the commission feels it can't get its work done."

Everything else we pretty much knew, or knew was going to happen. If the comission is forced to close before they get to see all the paperwork then it is going to be the fault of the American People. We are getting ready to hand the Bush Administration yet another victory.

light of day.

4. Picture Nero fiddling
while Rome burns... After the report Shrubya went to the G8. The media noted for the first time that the conference was surrounded with anti-aircraft batteries.

I think someone took the advice seriously.

Jebbie mobilized the FL National Guard on Sept 7 to protect ports of entry.

Hmmm ya think....

6. This is the key thing
This White House is addicted to secrecy--but it's going to bite them in the ass in the long run. Frankly it's alwyas the cover up that hurts politically.

7. Hiding this info has nothing to do with National Security
and everything to do with the security of W's own arrogant, lazy, lying butt.

9. I been saying all along that that memo was going to kill him.
After people know what's in that memo, then they need to re-broadcast the way he sat there in that classroom when the planes hit.

Guilty guilty guilty. It's more than LIHOP. In fact, as I've often said, there can't be LIHOP without MIHOP.

10. pre 9-11 memo, leaks, CIA intel-manipulation
it's all connected - one pile of cover-ups atop another pile of cover-ups

The "leak" is turning out to be the loose thread that hopefully unravel this tangled ball of yarn

12. But Condi said...
On May 17th, 2002, National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice stated,"I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile -- a hijacked airplane as a missile."

Uh huh -- Right.

13. as ashcroft would surely say: "only a criminal has something to hide."
what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

bush was warned and knew, and people died.

obviously, bush thought or was told that precautions at airports were adequate for preventing such terrorist acts, and when it happened he was covering up his failures to protect this country.

he did nothing so as to allow business as usual. that is a damning indictment of his placing economic safety above human safety.

its about that simple, and its about time america found out the truth.

15. Is that why
on 08/24/01 I boarded a plane at LaGuardia without showing anyone my ticket or boarding pass? Has a matter of fact, I couldn't even convince the stewardess at the gate that she should. She told me they were in a hurry to turn the plane and just get on.
