In This Week today: an ex-counterterrorism person shot Bush down totally!
Edited on Sun Oct-26-03 11:17 AM by LittleApple81
And they guy that was the counter-intelligence person under Bush1, Clinton, and I guess Bush2 for a while gave the administration a devastating blow about the real situation on the war on terror. Did you see it?

2. No. I went looking for it.
But among what he said (paraphrasing) "The leaked Rumsfeld memo: Rumsfeld does not allow things he does not want people to see to come out; but this shows that what he says in public and in private are 180 degrees different."
Our policy of counterterrorisms is a total failure: in homeland security they have changed the counterterrorism head many times and the position is open now. Using Iraq as part of the Al Qaeda connection was a false premise, now we have Americans as targets (I think he said something like fish in a bowl) in Iraq).
It was really devastating to the administration. But George "did not have time" to follow up because the gay Episcopalian Bishop was scheduled next.

3. Interesting...
IMHO, "policy of counter-terrorism" is a "failure" because there is
no need for such a policy... Why? Because...THERE IS NO TERRORISM.
Sorry, but I don't buy the "official line" about 9/11. That's the
crux of the matter.

Interesting information though.

4. I think you are correct.
Some point fingers at this administration, some point at Israel, some point at Saudi Arabia.....but the fundemental construct that we are fighting a "war of terror" goes unchallenged.

You might want to check out my post on this today:

5. I don't have time to read it right now. But I will later today.
But the guy on This Week (I think his last name was Clark, but am not positive) seemed to imply that whatever we are doing in the "war against terrorism" is totally wrong .
I wish I could get a transcript to put it up in DU.

Thanks for the link.
