19. Your party???
What you got a title or something??? And the loss of Wolfie would be no loss at all. Though apparently you don't see it that way...."Newdem".

By the way, Mari333 just narrowly avoided seeing her son go and die for these bastards, if she wants to speak her mind who the hell are you to whine about it?? Especially over Wolfie???

Now step-off Johnnie before it gets ugly....

20. As a matter of fact...
"What you got a title or something?"

As a matter of fact, I do. I hold several positions within my local and state Democratic Party. If you want to make this a matter of who has the better Democratic Party bona fides, you are going to lose the contest.

And "by the way", I am a military reservist (ING status) subject to recall, and I have a number of friends and colleagues depoloyed to Iraq, so I do have a bit of a stake in the situation in Iraq, moreso than you or Mari I suspect.

Oh, and whether you like him or not, "Wolfie" is an official of the US government, and more importantly, a human being. I find it a bit peculiar that someone who would profess to be a voice for peace would so cavalierly rejoice over someone's death by political assasination. Something tells me that you are less concerned about peace than you are about promoting a fringe ideological agenda.

Step off? Hah. Sorry to make noise in your silly echo chamber, but this business of rooting for people who are trying to kill Americans is repulsive.

2. Interesting, I have CNN on and haven't seen it. But I did see a blip
across the bottom of the screen that said that "40% of people polled said that they would vote for President Bush" if elections held today or something like that. Anyway my confusion comes in at what the other 60% said.

I am going to watch and see if they say anything about the Al Raschid. Is Wolfie still there? Or did he find other accomodations? Anyone know?

8. I guess the same reason Hitler stood around in France and Poland
and checked out all the scenery after he took over...maybe Wolfie was checking his portfolio the other day and didnt like the downturn and had to check it out for himself.

12. So he could do
a first hand photo op talking about how well things are going over there.

Bet he still will.

"minor set back..." blah blah blah
"we are very pleased..." blah blah blah
"the Iraqis welcomed me..." blah blah blah
"the soldiers are reinlisting at record pace..." blah blah blah
"God bless America" blah blah blah

13. ROFLMAO!!!
Makes me think of those dolls that we had back in the 60's/70's where you pulled the string in the dolls back and it would keep repeating the same 5-6 phrases.

<pull string> "minor set back"
<pull string> "we are very pleased"
<pull string> "the Iraqis welcomed me"
<pull string> "the soldiers are reinlisting at record pace"
<pull string> "God bless America

What a great idea for somebody to manufacture dolls like these as a 'retro-item with a modern-day twist'. You could have a Wolfy, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, and Condi doll. Collect the Whole Set!!! (Too bad they would all only say the same five phrases - but, hey, that IS all they say  )

7. AP: Possibly near, not at, hotel
On the wire; no link:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Two explosions occurred late Sunday in the coalition-controlled zone which includes the Al Rasheed Hotel but the location had not been determined, the U.S. military said.

The blasts, which could be heard across the Tigris River in the center of the city, occurred after 9 p.m., more than 15 hours after a rocket attack against the Al Rasheed in which an American colonel was killed and 15 other people were injured.

The area, known as the "green zone," also includes the coalition headquarters at one of Saddam Hussein's palaces and the Convention Center, which includes the military's press office.

Two Explosions Reported in Central Baghdad
Sun October 26, 2003 01:47 PM ET

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least two explosions detonated Sunday evening in an area of Baghdad that includes the headquarters of Iraq's U.S.-led administration, the U.S. military said.
A military spokesman said the explosions had gone off in the capital's Green Zone, which also includes a top-security hotel that came under rocket attack earlier in the day. Reporters in central Baghdad also heard several explosions.
