Does No One Watch The Debates Because There Are Too Many Candidates?

Personally, I think it is beginning to get ridiculous. It is almost January, and only one of ten candidates has dropped out. Thank you Bobby Graham!!!

I watch the debates because I'm a political junkie, but they are just plain silly. Considering that the media only covers polls and in-fighting snarks, there is virtually no access to the policy differences between the candidates.

I speak as someone who supports a top-tier candidate, and I realize that no one wants their guy to go, but this really seems to be about ego at this point.

I sincerely hope that the Party heads get their act together and lean on the stragglers to exit gracefully.

The candidates need to sharpen their skills to take on Bush, and each candidate basically spends 50 minutes of the hour standing around waiting.

because on the off-chance that one of them says something I haven't heard them say a dozen times before, I'll hear about it elsewhere.

That's the thing that seems different to me this time, every single one of them didn't seem to show up at every single televised debate. Do you remember? Is this right?

It is really annoying though, the Repubs throw out the 'crowded field' garbage and we don't fire back with the truth about their primary in 2000. We're stupid.... stupid, stupid, stupid. Grrrrr.

4. a few reasons...

I have to work...it seems that everytime there is a debate on tv I have to work...

I think that when the primaries start you will see some more drop out...I don't want other candidate supporters to get mad at me for saying that but, that's the way it goes.

I have to turn away when I see or hear the candidates bash each other...I think it's pretty pathetic...

We will see once the primaries begin...

7. Also, the moderators could refrain from trying to

impress us with their genius by taking 3 minutes to prattle on in asking their questions. I'm not interested in the moderators views-let me hear the damn candidates.
