"If We Can Rebuild Iraq - Let's Rebuild America
Legislation Introduced to Help Financially Strapped State and Local Governments"

"AFSCME is supporting the American Parity Act (H.R. 1738), that would protect public services, create jobs, and jumpstart the economy by providing payments to state and local governments for priority expenditures like social services, health care, education, and transportation in the same amount that will be provided to fund Iraq’s postwar reconstruction. Although President Bush wants $87 billion more for Iraqi operations with $20.3 billion to rebuild Iraq, what about America’s public services?"

Good question, why not?

Has your representative signed on yet?

Mine, Katherine Harris, hasn't.

Notice who's on that list?

8. This is not a list of who voted ....
No votes have happened yet. These are co-sponsors of the bill.

The list is at the Thomas link.

2. Yeah Right!
This is great, but of course, my rep Christopher Cox(place your joke here), isn't on this list. He's too busy writing love letters to DeLay and the chimp to read any mail I would send him.
Couldn't they just give my district to Loretta Sanchez?

10. I'd give a hundred bucks to be invisble and follow DeLay
as he whips against this bill. We will have the pleasure of watching dopey Scott dodge this one, at least. Will the ho's help the chimp by ignoring this one?

Whoever thought this one up deserves a gold star.

11. That's what I was thinking. It's a no-brainer.
And those that attack it will simply look bad.

Well, if we had a fair Media they would, maybe not now.

12. Rahm Emanuel was a Clinton staffer.
And is now a rookie congressman, right?
