I'll tell ya, I have never in my 20 years here seen it so bad.

I live in mid city, and have LAYERS of soot and dust in every crevice, leaf and surface in, on and outside my home.

I can barely breathe, it's HORRIBLE.

The news coverage can't even cover all the fires there are so damn many.

Hell on earth for thousands of people... This is real bad. The Red Cross could use some donations to help out the thousands misplaced.

I woke up early worrying about the fires in So. Cal. For some reason I didn't think about Red Cross.

BTW: Flights in and out of SF are delayed. It's almost impossible to fly in here now.

Bush avoids any contact with his own people who are in crisis. He is at Camp David with the pickle doing who knows what. Most likely having a few martinis together, as California burns. After all, the both of them do not really know how to do anything else and are probably waiting for someone else to tell them what to do. They have just returned from a tour that in every place they set down, they were toasted. So now, they believe that they are regal. Pickles is probably picking out her next fashion atrocity in her fantasy that she has the body of a twenty year old woman and rehearsing how to say "let them eat cake" in Polish or Bulgarian or something. It is so pathetic and so sad that we have these two pathetic incompetent and embarassing people from Texas as the president and the first lady. They have been forced on us and they are truly crass, ignorant, stupid and incompetant. How sad.

My niece is on vacation somewhere in San Diego. Her mother is understandably going nuts........we don't know anything about the areas mentioned and neither does my niece. All I know is that she won't be flying out today as planned.
